yeah, I still love the first concert that I saw. It was the best one so far. It was amazing! There was plenty of bantering Which made me happy. And they were awesome!! They felt really connected to the audience. And they stuck around after the show
I'm still waiting on Peter to give me my Andy pic!!!! Even the memory of it gives me shivers. But yeah, he hasn't posted anything on Flickr nor told me if he even uploaded them to his computer. He takes a while with these things. Very, very sad, I know.
Hey. Sorry I haven't checked in before now; today's the first day I haven't had to work since the concert. I don't have much to add. The others who were there, especially Becky, pretty much covered everything. Thank you all for sharing your crisp, clear photos and videos! I'll just add these few tidbits:
As he often does, Damian had us practice voting. He explained, "You'll have two choices. You probably won't like either of them very much. Then you'll vote, and we might just ignore you anyway."
And later, in a rare self-conscious moment: "Thanks! We're OK Go..... Still." He's so cute. I would have liked more stage banter, but in hindsight, I think they had a flight to catch, so they must have been conscious of the time.
I'm so glad t-dog got video of the gong-crashing at the end. That was priceless and a joy to watch. I liked Damian's signoff: "Thank you, Indy! Good after-fuckin-noon!" They did seem to have a good time. The weather was beautiful (even for people who live in Los Angeles!), the setting was odd enough to tickle the OK Go sense of humor, and of course, WE were there cheering them on.
Jennifer's suggestion to get dinner was a good one, not only because we were hungry and thirsty, but because we all wanted to hold onto the experience and talk OK Go with People Who Understand and who get all the obscure references. ("We are the chosen band. Look! My children.") Even after dinner, no one wanted to leave. It was nice to meet Becky, Christie, Rebekker, and her mom. I'm sorry I missed meeting ktlou. And I'm sorry that Katie and Angie couldn't make it. We'll catch up next time...
Tell me about it. None of my friends are really into them. And, my sister is fading in her fandom...the Jonas Brothers have swept her away. But I have always gone to Ok Go concets with my sis, so it was kinda weird that she wasn't there with me. I missed her. Honestly. She gets it. Mostly.
BECKY!!!! Thx for your writeup- I really enjoyed reading it! Aaaand, thx for sharing your pics- I have to say, very, very lovely! And I have to sigh at the Andy pics- is it just me, ir is he getting progressively more beautiful?

This is, siiiiigh.
It isn't just you. That picture just made me melt.
It was so hard leaving the restaurant. Heck, it was hard getting up from the chair.
I need more People Who Understand.
owww my goooddddd I hear you. NO ONE I know, NO ONE, is a fan. They just won't hear me when I say "listen to this" they're like yaeh whatever maybe later. It's SO FRUSTRATING because I would DIE to have some local peoples talk to about my obsession with! My husband is like "yean hon......yawn" and of course I wouldn't expect him to get it but god damn.
I want to have a huge OK GO love-in party with all of you sometime, somewhere!

Damn straight!!
Now that's awesome!
That's funny because I'm in your picture. Okay, it's just my hand and my amazing camera.
Ya know, I think we took the same pic at the same time but from opposite sides of Damian. Interesting.
Yep, you're in the lower left corner with your camera. Nifty!

That is an excellent observation. Becky, what kind of camera DID you use? (or were these shots from Peter's cam?)
I was using a Kodak Z710 IS Zoom. All these shots were from my camera.

For lack of a better word, that picture is EPIC. Damian needs to be in more sky-in-the-background shots.

Ditto.
Peter snapped this just as Andy was walking in front of me and gave me a little smile. SQUEE!
I can't wait for the rest of Peter's pics as he has a super-amazing camera.
*sigh* Andy's pretty...
