had anyone else felt 13 again after reading the books??

oooh I'm so exited I finallly have someone to share my thoughts in this!!! thank you rebekker!!
Yeah i think Robert's just not pale enough for a vampire aswell and I've also noticed what you said, that he has some prespectives that he doesn't look good at all. but I think that's exactlly how Edward should look because he might be perfect but he's still a vampire and there are parts of Robert's face that really look vampire-ish, I've already noted that weird thing about him when I looked up and saw that he was playing Cedric. I think he's more suited to play Edward Cullen than Ceddric Diggory. And he DOES have a crooked smile

what do you think about the rest of the Cullens and Jacob? I think Jacob is just as I imagined...

Yeah, I think he fits Edward more than he does Cedric. And YEAH, he does have a crooked smile! haha, I saw that before, and I think that part about him is perfect! That's how I imagined Edward doing it.

I really like the person who plays Alice. I think the other ones fit it pretty well too. But I'm not sure about Rosalie. The actress that plays her is pretty, but just not quite as pretty as I would think Rosalie would be. And I really like the guy who's playing Jacob. At first I looked it up on imdb a while ago, and I saw that he was the kid that played Sharkboy in Sharkboy and Lavagirl. And I was like oh, he's really little. Cuz I wasn't thinking of how much time has passed. And then later I saw an interview with him on youtube and he looks good! I think the wig makes him look weird though when it was all just flowing and stuff. He's supposed to have a ponytail. But in the interview he said that they didn't want to do that cuz James already had a ponytail. Which is stupid, cuz Jacob's the one who was suppose to have it.
  • haha, I was debating making this too. but it was done for me! biggrin.gif

as I've said, Jacob > Edward... in my mind at least.

I'z excited for the movie, too. I really really like Robert Pattinson as Edward, and Kristen Stewart as Bella. Most of the other actors I like too. The only one I'm not sure about is (predictably) the actor playing Jacob... but oh well.

    hmm, what else, what else.

ooh! www.twilightguy.com is a really really cool website. It's this guy blogging about his attempt to read Twilight- remarkable because, well, he's a guy haha. He also posts stories submitted by other guys who are fans of Twilight and how they like, were finally convinced to read it by their gfs and stuff. They're really funny.

biggrin.gif yeah.... I'm slightly obsessed. Although as I've said, the teenybopper Twilight fangirls who drool over Edward are really really annoying... so I like the books, but dislike most of the fans. That's actually prolly why I like Twilightguy so much, cause it's really different.

hmm, I think that's enough for now.

yes I'm very disapointed with Rosalie and with Victoria! I've always pictured victoria with hair like Hayley Williams's and she's just dull blond...bah...
Jasper really looks good, and Alice is kinda like I imagined her to be too. Jacob looks stupid with the wig too. I thought he had a ponytail from what I saw in entertainment weekly but apparently I was wrong. there's just one thing that really disapoints me: his voice. he does not have an husky tone, his voice is really disapointing...sad.gif
I was just thinking of something...I pictured Bella in my head more like Anne Hattaway or someone like that...not the actuall actress...I'm so disapointed at that one...

I feel obcessed aswell LOL. but not in that way too of the screaming omg I love Robert Pattinson because he's playing Edward aaaaaaahh! I'm not 12 anyomore (thank God) laugh.gif

but it's a romance, it's made for the girls to think that the guy in the romance is perfect, you can't really blame them...tongue.gif

I can't wait to hear the music of the movie. If the tracklist of the author is any indication, it's going to be the best OST in history!!!!
  • haha, I think that's a really good comparison. Someone like Anne Hathaway, but not her of course, cuz she's too old for one. But I think I get what you mean.
And YES, Victoria! I forgot about her. I imagined her hair a lot more fiery red too. My friend was also upset about that. And it did look like Jacob had a ponytail or something in Entertainment Weekly. So, I thought maybe they changed their mind, but I don't know. His voice is a little disapointing.

And phantommilk, I'll have to check out that website. It sounds cool. I know a guy who read Twilight and actually really liked it, despite the moments in the book that made him feel gay, haha

And I'm pretty much obsessed with this book too. But not crazily so, like the little fangirls that you're talking about. I just love to read it. This was the first book I read that I really wanted to read over as soon as I finished it. Only cuz I didn't have the second one with me at the time, otherwise I would have kept right on going. But usually I don't want to read a book again right away cuz it's a little less interesting since I know what happens and everything. But this book is SO good!
  • I agree with you it makes you read over and over again!
I'm not fangirly obsessed like I said, but there are some parts that make me feel a girly ahah biggrin.gif in a good way
honestly, these books just hit directly my top 10 booklist and that's big...they make me smile!

Once you found out about all this frenzy, you may or may not have cracked open a copy of Twilight (in secret, of course). Either you wanted to know what they were crazy about, or you wanted to know How To Become The Living Edward Cullen. No matter why you got to it, somehow Stephenie Meyer has cast a spell over this planet, and now us guys are starting to feel the bite as well.

    from that site twilightguys.com

how to become the living Edward LOOOL laugh.gif maybe this way chilvary won't die!!

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif haha, We must force every guy to read this book
  • I've already started that quest!!! yey laugh.gif
though all my friends are too lazy to read them in english like I didand they really win't buy the books "just because I say so" LOL
it just seems like a lost cause from the beggining tongue.gif too bad for them, the books are reflections of what the average girl dreams about in a guy
  • aww, that's lame
I've tried to get my sister to read it, and I've tried to tell her how awesome it is, but she's too lazy to read. The only thing she's ever really read is Harry Potter. She's borrowed books from my friend before with the intention of reading them, but she just can't stay focused and she's just to lazy to try. So, she always keeps them for about 5 or more months without even barely opening them, and eventually she returns them without reading them
  • aw that's really sad...I love reading, it's just one of the things that are most entertaining to me. I've already convinced some girlfriends to read the book, let's see how it turns out haha biggrin.gif I'll get the boyfriends just need to be more persistent tongue.gif

Another thing...don't you love the director of the movie (Catherine Hardwicke)?? She looks like an excited teenager during the shootings!! LOL her energy is overwhelming!
  • yeah I guessed you weren't those fangirly types =D ok go fans are generally good about that stuff.

as far as the movie goes:
I lovelovelove their choice for Jasper. LOVE. he's sososososo great.
Also, the guy playing Mike Newton. I really like him too.
    And Alice.
Basically, I really really really like all the actors they've chosen.
I agree that Rosalie and Victoria aren't what I pictured her to be, but with Rosalie that's kinda impossible for her to be as beautiful as they say, and with Victoria I'm not too concerned, cause her only role is to be an enemy.

And I'm still not sure about the guy playing Jacob. But I don't think I ever would be, cause I absolutely love Jacob.
  • I don't know how I feel about liking Jacob's character or not...I guess it's not that important too ahah
There's one thing that they're making to excite even more the fangirls: all the actors casted are incredibly good looking. Bah..I know the Cullens SHOULD be good looking but Kristen is just too-sexy to be Bella. She has blue eyes, her hair is more red than brown...what I'm trying to say is: what is wrog with being average film people?????
Where's the innocent looking girl everyone's expecting?

(I also got that way with mma Watson/Hermione Granger and Daniel Radcliff, my imagination is so strong that when I get disapointed in movies is really hard to get over it...)

Yeah, I saw on a few of the behind the scenes video how she gets all excited about shooting it and everything. It's awesome.

Yeah, I really like the guy playing Jasper, too. He's cool. And true, Victoria is just a villian, so it's not too big of a deal.

I understand what your saying. She does look really beautiful and stuff. And I think Bella should be a little more ordinary.

And me and my friends thought the same thing with Emma Watson! At first, in the first movie and stuff, she looked fine, cuz she had the wavy hair and she was a little girl. I think she fit the role fine then, but then as the movies went on, she got prettier and prettier. And that's just not how I imagined Hermione. For example, in the fourth movie at the Yule Ball, it was suppose to be a huge shock how gorgeous Hermione looked, but there wasn't much of a change in the movie, besides her wearing her hair up and wearing a fancy dress.
  • exactlly! I'm kinda sick of seing too beautifull people on screen. It's time the directors start to realize that people identify with the characters and putting a perfect looking actor playing a role that every boy or every girl identifies with is just not good for the self esteem of all the teens all around the world.
And Emma to me had another problem, she missinterpretated Hermione. She may be convinced of herself but most of all she's a sweet person and much more sensitive that it seems. She just ruined my favourite character because she dind't work on the main concepts...
Maybe I'm overcriticizing stuff, just tell me to shut up if it gets really annoying tongue.gif

    haha, no it's not annoying.
Oh my gosh, Emma Watson is HORRIBLE with her eyebrows!!! Especially in Prisoner of Azkaban! Seriously, you need to watch it, and at the part where they're on the train to Hogwarts, she looks at Harry and says, "Your scars hurting again, isn't it?" and then she says, "You know Sirius would want to hear about this..." Her eyebrow movement is AWFUL!! The first time me and my sister saw it, we laughed so hard, and now it's just incredibly annoying dry.gif
  • her face expressions are really terrible in my opinion...she's not a great actress but Daniel can be a 100 times worse...that mouth of him always confuses me ahah

I was reading on stephenie meyer's homepage what she said about casting Bella because everyone said "she doesn't look like Bella!!" and they meant "she doesn't look like me!!" exactly what I said before...I just hope she is a good actress (unfortunatlly I missed "into the wild" so I don't know what she's capable of) and doesn't turn out as disapointing as Daniel or Emma. Fingers crossed...
  • yeah, I haven't seen any of the movies that Kristen Stewart's been in, so I don't know either, I'm just gonna hope

By the way, is anyone else's thread layout suddenly weird? Or is it just me? Cuz I can't see everyone's comments. It's got a box at the bottom with everyone's screennames and you can click on it to see their comment. But they're not all shown at the same time. And it just happened suddenly
  • AHH thank you for making this thread!
My friend and I literally just had a half and hour phone converstation in which i attempted to settle her down and help her get through the rough beginning of New Moon. It's great though because in this summer alone I have been convinced to read the series and convinced almost every single one of my friends to read it. And they all love it!

    Lets see, my thoughts:

    I overall enjoy the casting
but felt the same way about Jacob's actor when I first found out. I always thought he was so young. And for some reason I just never liked him. Which is ok I guess because I don't like Jacob haha.
    Alice is perfectly casted
agree on Kristin Stewart being too sexy

Has anybody else seen the Entertainment Weekly, I think it was, cover of Robert and Kristin. It is pretty disturbing in my opinion. They both look the opposite of they should and the whole thing is just NO.
