    the summerfest thing isnt for sure. a bunch of my friends said they heard the fray is coming to summerfest again and okgo is touring with the fray this summer. and summerfest is the beginning of july end of june. 131 days away smile.gif

    Grammy-nominated Denver band The Fray has announced plans for a cross-country summer tour kicking off June 11 in Minneapolis and concluding in its hometown at Red Rocks on Aug. 4 and 5. The tour supports debut album How to Save a Life, recently certified double platinum by the record industry and the top digital album in the short history of that format. OK Go will open for the band along with Mae on the first leg, Gomez and Eisley will open on the second leg, and local Colorado bands will finish off the tour.

    yay its for sure. ok go with the fray at the marcus ampitheater on june 30th. smile.gif i am ordering tickets the second they go on sale.

    More info on the Madison, WI show. It's going to be at The High Noon Saloon and according to their website:

    OK Go
    8:00 PM / $no cover 21 AND UP

    This is an invite-only show, sponsored by Jack Daniel's Studio No. 7. Invites are available at one of the Jack pre-parties around Madison (party at HN Thursday 3/1 around 9pm), from Isthmus newspaper (www.thedailypage.com), or the Studio No. 7 website (www.JDStudioNo7.com). Possession of an invite does not guarantee entrance- it will be limited to the first 400 people to arrive night of show. You must be at least 21 to attend.

    And just so you know, those Jack Daniels No. 7 "invitations" are usually free, and they'll probably be just handing them out at the "pre-parties."

    They just want 21-and-overs to show up and buy drinks.

    You'll still need to show up early to get into the OK Go show!

    (Jack Daniels was a sponsor of a music festival I worked on last fall, and that's how it was, so I'm assuming this is the same kind of thing.)

    Even though their new video for "Do What You Want" appears to have been made on a much bigger budget, Norwind [sic] says, "It was actually done fairly cheap (compared to) what most videos get made for." The biggest expense turned out to be making the outfits for everyone.

    I told you, those wardrobe people went cross-eyed. It was all those workmen's comp claims that drove up the expenses. wink.gif

    Welcome to the band. After the show, they had to explain to him that doesn't happen every night.
    I didn't realize this happened onstage! I figured it was when they were meeting fans afterwards. Ha biggrin.gif
