Today I had a Cell Bio lab. We had to wait for 30 minutes for something to get warm in a water bath. The TA and some kids were talking about comedy. So then some dude just randomly set his laptop on the front desk and put on a Mitch Hedberg video.... it was so werid laughing in a cell bio lab...
I find myself hating/detesting more people these days... does that mean I'm getting old?
It depends on who is the object of your hate.
If the targets of your detest are little sheepsters who follow the crowd, don't seem to realize that the shirt they paid $120 for was probably produced by sweatshop workers, dictate their music lives SOLELY (some radio ain't bad) around pop radio ("The Who? Was that, leik, a band?"), and insist on clustering the the middle of streets while giggling about their "hawt new car which you should TOTALLYZ be jealous of!!!1!" then no.
I went to a basketball game tonight. Well, three. Freshmen, JV, and Varsity. But same school . . .
anyway, it was nice outside when I left the freshmen game at the high school. It was like spring outside! So nice. I enjoyed my walk in the dark over to the middle school (where the JV and Varsity games are held.)
I was having a good time. I took some nice photos of the teams, cheerleaders, and the band (Oh, and this one guy from the opposing team with this insane afro! hehe, it was amazing. ) I sat with my friends, who are awesome, during the second half of the game. It was a good night.
At the end, I say bye to my friends, and walk out the main door. It's POURING. POOOOUUUUURING. And I was parked at the high school. I was so mad. What happened to the nice weather? WHERE DID IT GO?!?! I tried to make a mad dash to my car, but that doesn't work too well with a huge camera, and your shoes are Chucks because they're made of cloth, and your feet get soaked.
Yeah, so I was all wet. My car wasn't starting at first, I think it's going to die on me. I really do. I don't want that. But I got it started after trying a few more times.
and when I got home, I parked in a big puddle of water . . . That will freeze tonight, so my car tires may be stuck in ice tomorrow.
See how easily good days can turn BAD? It's crappy.
But I got to sit with my friends and got good photos, so it's OK, this time.
a pipe busted in my house, and it's in the ceiling. so the pipe is from upstairs, but we don't use the upstairs bathroom right now because we're remodeling it. GAHH! We can't figure out what caused it.
Water was leaking through the light, and the fire alarm in one of the hallways. and in the basement . . . it's flooded.
the light fixture in the hallway looks like a fishbowl now.

Thanks for the nice story.
"An escalator can never be out of service, it can only temporarily become stairs. 'Escalator temporarily stairs... sorry for the convenience'"

I can't decide whether to laugh or cry.
I'm kinda in that half-giggling, half-"oh dear lord" state.
