I actually had this discussion with someone today. I, for the most part, agree, at least when it concerns marijuana. I believe that a major reason for pot usage is rebellion. Sure, ther are cases where people smoke marijuana purely for personal enjoyment (or at least that's why they continue to smoke), but for the most part, the first few times seem to be mostly a personal symbol of rebellion. The parents in my town force a lot fo pressure onto the kids; there is a mentality that without perfection, we are shit. After years of feeling this, many kids find that they can basically give their parents a big "fuck you!" by smoking pot because, they feel, they are rebelling and doing something secretly that they know could get them in trouble. It, in short, allows them to rebel against the perfectionism they have been raised around. However, if pot was legalized, this mentality would quiet a bit. Surely, many would still smoke to relax and feel less pressure, but the kids who smoke purely for the image or satisfation of knowing they were doing something illegal would lost that rebellious drive. Of course, this would mean that they might turn to something else to find that same feeling of rebellion. However, that is not the argument I'm trying to make; I'm simply saying that people who think laws will cut down on pot usage are sorely mistaken and are, in fact, promoting the opposite.
In fact, I think cigarettes are far more dangerous than pot usage.
Whoa, that post was far longer than I expected.... I guess I just felt like typing?
I think some drugs should be legal, like marijuana. I don't smoke it though. That goes under the same as smoking cigarettes for me, and those are nasty.
But it's become so widely used, I don't undersand why it's not legalized.
From my knowledge, alcohol can do more damage. But I wouldn't know, I've only done one of the two. I can't compare them personally.

That's what my friends say.
I do agree. I guess i should note, I really don't have any first-hand drug experience. I admit I have smoked cigarettes a couple of times and never really enjoyed the experience. I think they're far more dangerous than marijuana.

A lot of people I know seem to think the same thing. My dad thinks that it will be legalized in the near future.
AHAHHAHAHA. Did you hear of "Batboy: the musical"? (or did I completely dream this up?)
No dream. I'm in competitive speech and this is done at every single tournament. It's quite funny seeing a bunch of adolescents in pantsuits dancing around to this.
if you were my interpol antics cd, where would you be?!? i already checked the fridge... and by fridge, i mean the several leaning stacks of cds strewn about...

Ahahahahaha. I adore random breaks into song/dance that tend to occur at various conventions. I was lucky enough to attend the Connecticut Drama Association Festival. My personal favorite was a 4-minute retelling of A Streetcar Named Desire done by the hosting stagecrew. Oh my goodness, it was beautiful (think: guitar playing on the side, the entire set consiting of one stool, and an over-the-top playing of Blanche along with the classic "STELLA" moment that went on for about half of the "performance.")
But I think Bat Boy might win. Those pictures are amazing.

But seriously, Dr. Emmett Brown is waaaaay more awesome than John Calhoun.

Oh, agreed. And he didn't hate black people. And he wears flannel.
Also, now we know that Calhoun was totally a Christopher Lloyd fan (obviously, he could see into the future).
Now for the real purpose of this post...
Voila!

Anyway . . . .

If only I knew what the musical numbers were like... I'm sure they were breathtakingly coreographed.

hahahahahaha, yeah I've heard of the musical. hahahaha. Is it based off of this Batboy? hahahahaha, I hope so.
I have to see it so I can laugh the whole time. I think they made it into a love story though. From the looks of these pictures:
hahahahaha, "The passion, the music, the pointy ears . . ."
hahahahahahhaa
I love made up things.
