Sorry, Yuki, no release date has been set yet for the next SDR CD. If I'm not mistaken, they're not even finished recording it yet. I'll check into it and see if I can get any information for you.
Edit: Okay, asked. Response? "Right now, it's a secret." So that's what I've got so far, but I'll find out whatever I can!
Thanks Rachel ! I thought I missed it.

i'm sure mr. ross is pretty pleased with how game 1 is turning out... what is it, like 13-1? haha good work sox edit: i said 'please' instead of 'pleased' durrrrrr
I hope Okajima and Matsuzaka don't make big mistake anymore....Boos are terrible.
tonight, i was at a halloween party, and i saw this guy dressed up as manny ramirez... and i went up to my friend, who was at the show with me last night, and i said "guess who's a fan of manny ramirez?" and the guy turns around and screams, literally, in my face that "I AM MANNY RAMIREZ!" he wasn't but, i told her andy is a bosox fan and...
this post is completely irrelevant so here... i'll make it relevant...
hahaha, Katie, that halloween story is awesome- I can just picture you starting to talk about the Andy and that guy shouting like a maniac. That pic is so sweet! You can just see in your smile how amazing the night and the moment was. And you look so pretty! I love your hair!
Yuki, loool! That picture is perfect! I think he looks cute- and he's so friendly! He always is smiling. There's a whole new love for Japan here because of him. For example, now the stores sell this:
And people wave Japanese flags in the stands. We call him Dice-K. I don't know why- has that always been his nickname? Because of that, this is everywhere:
We call him Dice-K. I don't know why- has that always been his nickname?
I can explain that. His first name is Daisuke. The first syllable of which sounds like the word "Dice". Hence the Dice. And the K is because he's a pitcher who strikes people out a lot - and the "K" is used to refer to an individual strikeout. Haven't you ever seen when there's people in the stands who hang large letter Ks to enumerate strikeouts?
So, Dice-K. Daisuke. If you say it out loud it makes sense.
and the "K" is used to refer to an individual strikeout.
oh! I knew it was a play of his name, but I didn't know why- it seemed like a random manipulation of the letters in his name to me. But it makes perfect sense now since K means strikeout. Thanks for the explanation, Rachel haha, I feel stupid and enlightened at the same time.
some more: this Dunkin Donuts sign:
This is from the Boston Globe-
A drink named after Dice-K:
And these guys
And this is what everybody wore at his debut. I remember that day- Kenmore Sq full of ppl in Dice-K headbands (most were homemade tho):
We love him
And this isn't Dice-K, but we have a HUGE "Yankees suck" culture (we have hats and shirts and everything) and this is the official Yankees Suck Kid:
I think I love all this Sox culture more than the game itself, actually.
Katie, wow! You're in a picture with Andy!!! Did you just totally die??
Funny you should say that... Because, I said a total of 9 words to him. "Oh my God" and "Could I get a picture please?"... When he looked over at us and smiled, I turned around and said Oh my God, and then we took a picture, and when I went to get my camera I said it again. I guess he laughed and smiled again. But yeah, that was my BIG moment...
I'm seriously an ass. But it was worth it. For those of you who listen to Secret Dakota Ring, I had a line from the song A Year and a Day stuck in my head... when he says "you used to say i was the sweetest little puppy every time every time you looked in my eyes"... and, it's true. hahaha But no, he was so sweet and awesome and even though I only said those few words it didn't really matter, except for the fact I feel like a total ass.
i didn't actually see his reaction to when i said it, but i was assured it was a genuine smile/laugh.
thank god.
he's truly a sweet heart. we also got the whole "thanks for coming out tonight" bit, to which i replied with.... absolutely nothing but a very anxious head nod. i do NOT get like this around people EVER, completely NOT me... but again. doesn't matter. all was worth it

Thats awesome. Yeah I was standing right infront of him like can you sign this please like 100 times and he just was looking right over my head and finally he looked down and saw me and signed it. Lol.

I think it's really cool that Japanese players are all over the place nowadays.
(and I think us fans should cut Matsuzaka some slack. I like both him and Okajima.)

LOL, no worries. Although it does bother me that no one sees any problem with a picture of a toddler flipping the bird.
And Katie and Christy - I totally know how you feel. Congrats, girls.
