My washing machine is in my kitchen. It's sort of a European thing, I guess. There's really nowhere else to put it, anyway.

I've seen it in bathrooms, too. It's either in one of those two locations or it doesn't exist.

if you are a bit more posh in england, you have a uttility room, with the washer and the dryer being out there

if not, its in the kitchen next to the dishwasher/sink

a normall place for it to be, as most kitchens are at the back of the house, next to the backdoor, where the washing line lives
