1) My dear friend Adri, whom I have not seen in I don't know how long, is back on the East Coast and I'm driving up to visit her tomorrow.
2) Adri is in our hometown, where I have not been since OK Go played there in May. So I'm going HOME. Tomorrow.
3) This morning, I discovered that the local drugstore is selling "Cadbury's Ornament Creme Eggs". Basically Cadbury Creme Eggs packaged for Christmas. I don't care what their marketing ploy is, I'm just happy that I get to eat Creme Eggs several months earlier than usual.
4) Shortly after walking out of the drugstore, I saw a poster proclaiming that Rufus Wainright is doing a concert at the Opera House NEXT TO MY APARTMENT in January.
5) I have friends that are just as psyched as I am about this, and are going with me to the concert, even though Hubby is not interested.
6) My dad's favorite pianist/composer is ALSO playing the Opera House, and I am going to take him to see said pianist/composer there as a Chanukah present. Which really makes me happy.
7) I was recently given a voucher for a substantial amount of money off an airplane ticket.
8) My Amazing Husband has given me the OK to use that voucher (and a portion of my holiday bonus at work) to buy a plane ticket to LONDON.
9) While I am in London, I am going to see The Hoosiers in concert. With Toooldforthis, and a bunch of girls from the Grace discussion boards.
10) The Flight of the Conchords DVD set should be arriving in my mailbox any day now.
I'd say that's a pretty good situation, wouldn't you?

And umm we have a river Thames with a bunch of ducks and geese and sometimes muskrats, they are always hungry! But the geese get angry if you feed the muskrats instead, they start hissing and it's frightening, they just take the food out of your hand before you can put it anywhere but their mouth.
But we kind of have a massive sinkhole right now, right in the core of downtown. HAHAHAHAHA so ghetto. It's not really anywhere near the campus though.

Alice, you are a permanent part of my happy list. I hadn't heard from you yet though, and I wasn't sure if you were going to be able to see me while I was there. But you know that a trip to meet the Electra Sisters is very high on my London To Do List, don't you? And are you thinking you might come with us to see The Hoosiers? Because that would be AWESOME.
And Adam's being cheap about Rufus. :-D He just doesn't want to spend the money on a ticket.
