the sport i like to watch is speed skating. mostly because there's a lot of wisconsinites on the u.s. speed skating team. my bets for the golds are apollo anton ono and casey fitzrandolph. yupperz. apollo is sorta cute. and i've totally met casey before. he lives a town over from me. i have something signed by him too, but i can't remember what it is or where it is. haha. but yeah... go them.
i also like watch the figure skating. i used to have this huge, girly crush on timothy goebel (who got bronze @ salt lake), so i hope he places again. if he's even going, i'm not sure....
i always thought i'd be good at curling. but considering i've never been on ice skates before in my life, i don't know how well that would turn out. but i like to watch that event & be like "too hard dumbass!!" and stuff...
and skeleton is always a fun one to watch. that's gotta be pretty freaky, i'd never do that... lol.
Me loves the ice hockey!!! Also the downhill skying, and you cant forget the bobslead or luge races... and its not just because of that John candy movie that i love ....
is there actually a real Jamacian Bobslead team???
I'm going to go back to the 2002 winter olympics, but I was really pissed when Jamie Salé and David Pelletier had to split the gold withthe Russians . . . they totally deserved it to themselves.
Sorry, I like figure skating obviously. It's very graceful I think.
I watched a little of the women's hockey today while doing my taxes....I dunno, it kinda sucked. It was like watching IHL hockey or something, where no one can quite skate properly, and all the shots look like they're in slow motion. I suppose it's nice for the women that they get to play hockey, but I'm not sure who would want to watch it on a regular basis.

Anyway, this is them.
I remember that! It really pissed me off too when they first announced the Russians had the gold...grrr. Sale, and Pelletier's performance was so much better, quite beautiful...and yes I'm still bitter. I haven't watched any of the games so far, but if I get the chance I'm hoping to catch some hockey, and maybe some speedskating. I don't know why but i really got into the speed skating last olympics.

u know, I find that true in alot of women's sports, I think that's why most ESPN channels don't air women's sports regularly, and they always rush through reporting them and don't really have quite as interesting/exciting commentary as the men's sports.

Yeah I feel really bad for the girls sports teams at my school. For basketball, for example, we get about 1/4 the number of people for women's games as men's games.
I want to see the snowboarding cause it is awesome to watch. Some of the guys who do it are mindblowingly good.

we need to support the womens' sports, yo! but at the same time, I have to admit, I really hate sports, I only like dorky weird sports like badmiton, ping pong, roller derby, and synchronized swimming, etc. And yeah, I only watch snowboarding and ice skating for the winter games cause that's what's most interesting/exciting...

Oh my goodness, that's beautiful.
I have so much respect for figure skaters; they have to be so balanced and toned in every way. I'm so excited for pairs.

I know, I'm really excited for pairs as well. I like the single skating, too. But not as much as the pairs.
