she shouldnt have been there anyway
Agreed. As much as I love her, I was kind of rooting for that girl in Long Island who was kicked off the team after Kwan had auditioned and was put on the team even though she was injured.

It's sad that she dropped out, but oh well. I'll still live.
Because there is still figure skating! YAY!! I'm excited.
I'd like to comment on the extreme corniness of the opening ceremony. Come on. Darts of passion? A Ferrari? Human DOVE??? BAD AMERICAN 80'S SONGS?!?! It was like watching a Kylie Minogue video gone wrong.
i know i was like "oh no!!! ohno! what have you done!!!!" i was really rooting for him. i freaking love him. hahaha
anybody watch men's cross country??
frode estil was AMAZING. he took like two "steps" then fell, was dead last, well behind everyone else then freaking came in second. i'm gonna admit i'm a huge freak, and i was like, jumping up and down going "go! go! go! go!!!" hahaha, i was impressed by him.
men's snowboarding half pipe just got done, shaun white won (of course) which was really cool. it would've been even cooler if the 18 yr. old american got third place, because then it would've been a full american sweep, again. which would've been sweet. but, yeah, they were all really awesome.
that's sad about daron rhalves though, in downhill skiing. haha, i was really rooting for him and bode. too bad they didn't place
so, i've been really not productive this weekend. i'm a huge winter olympics freak, i like the winter games better than the summer ones. which all my friends think is weird, but whatever. hahaha

YES! I did see that! After getting over the absolute hilarity of the opening with all the men flailing all over the place (and the brief thought that I wished they were flailing all over me... sans skis of course), I was totally engrossed.
I can't imagine what Frode went through to earn silver. Goodness, he's one of my new idols (also a little because his name is "Frode" which reminds me of a viking).
As endearing as it might be, does anyone else find it somewhat annoying when the camerafolk decide to zoom in on the gold medal winner(s)'s eyes during the medal presenting/national anthem ceremony? I mean, it's like, "OH! Is that a tear?!?!?! ZOOM IN!!!!"
watching curling is addictive, even though you have no clue/idea about how the game is played nor the objective... that's what I watched this afternoon. I care. I care about curling.
lol but u guys have a sense of humor about it...that's what counts right?
However, I have questions about curling: Is the whole objective of curling to get the stones in the red target area? And you achieve this by building a good defensive strategy by blocking the other team with other stones? And also, why is there a timer in this game that's not the same on both teams?
