My dad's from Lebanon and I have family in Kuwait. I have no clue to what Saudi Arabia is like though..but it sounds kewl.
  • It's apparently different than what most people see it as. It's not as desert-y as expected, but quite pleasant.

    well,
Im actually this real big mix. My dad's Pakistani, My mom's British but her great grandmother was Panjabi (Indian) and I was born in New York, raised in New Jersey, and since I was 14 have lived in Dubai.

So at this point in time I guess Im a British Pakistani American living in the UAE.

It's quite a nice place... just a bit too hot at the moment.

You get used to it but.. I prefer the states any day.... This place is better for holiday than to live.

Anyway it's great to meet you all and I'll be around more later, just a bit busy this week with visiting relatives and college projects.

    xoxo

p.s. Saudi's not too bad, I visited it 2 years back for religious reasons (Im muslim) heh, and so yeah... we DROVE there *my dads brilliant idea*, and I tell you I thought I was gonna die. No toilets on the way! Sand, sand sand... OH and wait, MORE sand. lol...
Madina, Jeddah, Mecca and Riyadh were nice....
But, aside from the fact that women can't drive or walk around freely dressed, it's nice .. to VISIT. You're friend is brave to live there, I wouldn't be able to cope. I have a hard time living here! rolleyes.gif
  • OMG, you DROVE??? Gosh, I thought driving from Austin to LA was boring. How long does that take????? My friend doesn't live there that much becuase he went to boarding school in conneticut, and now he's moving to South Africa. His dad's in oil, go figure.

My family is from Jersey and I was born there..my bros grew up there..but I've lived in Texas since I was 2, so I don't really count myself as a Jersey girl.
