where abouts in the UK was your mum from?

Leeds smile.gif But I've got family all over. My gran was raised in Glasgow, and most of my aunts live in Manchester and Birmingham, but Leeds is where I usually go, visit my grandparents and all...

*raises fist* JERSEY PRIDE! (heck, everyone should be proud of where they were raised, but I just love new jersey so much)
I was in Woodbridge township first, then later moved to Princeton/South Brunswick area. How about you guys?

By the way, I should have said before but, wow, you guys have honestly got to be the most friendly and OPENMINDED forum members I've ever met. Usually I'm bombarded with "what's UAE?" or "Dubai, which state is that in?" *my favorite laugh.gif * or even "yeah so do you guys have like a war going on?"

haha, no war, no nothing. It's just sun, sand, sports and tourism.

So yeah, you guys rock wink.gif
  • oh poor you having roots in leeds

    =p

    i joke..

    Hell yeah! smile.gif

PS: When did you get up to like, 550 posts...? clearly I have not been paying attention...

That's right I'm becoming a "legend in the making." I'm trying desperately to follow your lead, hence the 550 (ooo, that's a nice round number too). Anyway, sorry to get off topic. Back to the thread.

I am from north Jersey (it's a tiny state and yet there's a north and a south, isn't that cute), from a town called Morristown, which is about 45 mins from NYC. What state is Dubai in? (lol, just kidding ya). I live in a desert now too...in Arizona. How many siblings do you have?
  • I remember hearing ads about some cool mattress shop in morristown smile.gif

How's Arizona? Is it really deserty? I never actually left the East Coast so aside from the usual (NYC, NJ, PENNSYLVANIA, PHILLY, DC, AND MARYLAND) Ive seen like NOTHING of the states ...

I've got 3 siblings. All younger (sadly or .. better depending on the moment)
A 5 year old brother whom I love dearly named Sully, an 11 year old sister going through her "OH MY GOD GREENDAY IS SO HOTTTT!" phase (throw in a little Hilary Duff and you've got the typical disney tween), and a 13 year old brother who is in a state of mind where he thinks nothing is cooler than himself. (pffft!)

    How about you?

I grew up in Manville, which is by Somerville and Bound Brook, in central Jersey. Now I live in Lebanon/Clinton, which is western-central Jersey. I actually only live about 30 minutes from the PA border. I'm probably about 45 minutes north of Princeton, and my parents grew up around Woodbridge.

I haven't seen much beyond the east coast, either. I think I've been to like, every state on the east coast except Maine, Vermont, and Rhode Island, but I really haven't gone west of eastern PA. Except for an hour stop over in L.A. Oh, and Hawai'i. Hawai'i counts, doesn't it?

Also, yay for us being friendly and openminded! We try. happy.gif
  • Wow. You're from all over the world, and I think that's AMAZING. My family history is incredibly boring. I love yours.

Arizona is mostly desert. What you imagine Arizona to be is probably true. Just not everyone owns a ranch.
  • I'll show you 3 pics of my beloved desert. It's beautiful at this time of year, but soon will get hot. Wow, I can't believe you know about Morristown. Your so smart. Morristown must be more famous than I realize. I've got one younger sister. She is 21, but I always picture her as a little 8 year old. We practically act like twins. Aww your siblings sound so cute! What do your parents do for a living?

    Here is Red Mountain:

It is very very rare for it to snow here. I insist Ok Go caused it by coming here with their lovely music. Anyway, here are the Superstitious Mountains with snow on them and me admiring them.

  • They don't have Chuck Norris in the UAE???? How do you survive?
  • nope... unsure.gif

he looks familiar to me but I don't remember him by name...

haha I survive by living off the internet.

CSI episodes here are like... from way back when Speed (csi miami) was still alive... so you can imagine...

Life here is pretty much 50 cent, American Idol and Black Eyed Peas concerts blink.gif

    mellow.gif

    Sheesh, how DO survive!?

Great I have to go contemplate that for a while.

Ok, before I go though, quick question to anyone, I'm writing a research paper on Infamous Murderers in movies, such as Jason Vorhees and Freddy Kreuger, and ones based on real people like Ted Bundy and Jack The Ripper. I need MORE people like that, so can anyone give me names to look up? (like movie murderers, but not things like the exorcist or darth vader tongue.gif)

Im just gonna be analyzing how and whether its the media that inspires murders, or vice versa, and how each of these murderers works.

    thanks...
  • you should start a new thread for this otherwsie people may miss it!! xx
  • Hmm, Jason and Chuckie. They freak me out.
