OK Go on VMAs

Read this in the email newsletter tonight and figured it would have been all over the board already. laugh.gif

Sorry for the short notice, but the LA show on Aug 29 is cancelled. We're already working on scheduling a replacement date. It sucks, but we had a good reason, namely:


OK Go On The VMA's (F'N A!)
OK Go will be appearing on the VMAs. If you've been within thirty feet of a television that's tuned to within thirty channels of MTV then you know that the Video Music Awards are on Friday, August 31st, and that they're a pretty huge deal that just got a huge deal huger, at least for OK Go. To top it off, "Here It Goes Again" has been added to MTV, as one of their Big 10 videos, where it's keeping company with the likes of Justin Timberlake and XTina. Watch your sexyback, JT.

    Awesome.
    i just want to say the sexyback video is quite possibly the worst video of the year. I cringe when i think of how much money someone shelled out for that crap.

    I'm basically just nervous about the kind of people watching that to see JT or The Pussycat Dolls or whatever latching on to the guys. It's selfish, but I'm hoping it isn't too much coverage.

    Congrats to the boys. It's been a long time coming. Let's hope that new fans + bigger fame don't spoil their specialness as a band.

    Also, isn't Aug. 31st a Thursday?

    Woo..I'm happy. The boys are getting a lot of exposure. Sadly though I think people are just gonna remember them for their music videos and not their music. whatever..I'll be watching.

    haha yeah it is. I wish there was some way to find out when during the show they'd be on so I don't have to sit through the whole damn thing. I'll admit that I found the first PCD song really catchy (the girlfriend one haha) but this new one bloody sucks along with the JT one. What was he thinking?!

    Wow, I can't believe OK Go's gonna be on the VMA's. that's really awesome, i cant wait to watch it.

    I couldn't scream, I wanted to, but couldn't because people on my hall would be angry. So I was talking in high pitched breathy voice. I can see how that would be hard to understand.

    Am I the only one that finds this performance highly hypocritical? I mean, isn't Damian always talking about how much he hates MTV and how they never play anything good anymore? Hmm. dry.gif

    see the general problam people make when making statments about mtv is only going on about the channel mtv


    as mtv pretty much own all the vidio playing music channels out there

    so what they dont play on mtv they play on the others...as mtv doesnt actully show much music on mtv

    They don't own Fuse or Me-TV (an Austin music video station). Those are good stations because they actually play music videos.
