Exactly... even though he isn't everyone's favorite person, he's gotta be a good guy. Not to say that he secretly picks flowers for old people and rescues puppies on his day off, but the thing with Dumbledore was (maybe) just to make everyone think he's more evil than he is... I don't know.

Right. I think he´s still working as a double agent or what-not and if he hadn´t done what he did, then his cover would have been blown. And Dumbledore had to die, whether it was by Snape or somebody else, because it´s a necessary part of the hero cycle. Obi-Wan Kenobi? Gandalf? Same thing.
And even if he is evil in book six, I think he´ll come back in book seven.
Agreed. The book is all about the ambiguity of good and evil, so Snape cannot do something so "evil" as kill Dumbledore and not have a corresponding act of good. It would just go against the principle of the books.
Right. The only truly evil character is Voldemort. Everybody else is just differing degrees between "good" and "evil."
Well. Okay, maybe the Death Eaters are all evil, too, but they´re also human, which means that they have human faults, so they´re not really 100 percent evil. Voldemort has transcended beyond that to being something superhuman, so you can´t say the same for him.
That´s also why I don´t think Harry´s going to die in the last book. So the kid has gone up against the only truly evil character for 17 years now and his reward is being killed off? It´s also against the principle of the books. But that´s a completely different topic of debate.

but can we still debate it in here?
I don't know why but I have a feeling Harry will die. I mean what could be a more legendary ending for a hero like Harry Potter than sacrificing himself and finaly defeating evil?
also how do you guys black out words? lol I've been trying for evers.

you click the button that says "spoiler" in the quick access box on the left or you do [ spoiler ] (but without the spaces) and [ / spoiler ] (again, without the spaces)

I thought so too until someone brought up the theory that Harry is a horcrux and therefore has to die in order for Voldemort to die.
I also kind of like that Harry is definitely not all good. He has so many faults, and that's what makes him such a good character.

I like the fact that he's crap with girls It just makes me laugh
But really, how come the characters only started noticing the attractions to the opposite sex in 9th grade? My friends and I started way before that lol

only because i want him to be good.. haha
HEY! thats mean
I'm sorry! I didn't mean it as mean at all. I meant to agree with your statement as it would be a much better ending for book 7.
"And then Snape was in love and no one cared about Harry Potter anymore. Puppies and kittens forever. The End"

I didn't think you'd actually do it
I'm going for... good. Just weedy. And scared. So he'll do whatever Voldemort says. I'd have more respect for him if he was just evil.
And Andy would be right - this is pretty geeky...
but can we still debate it in here?

No problemo!
You're gonna go power mad now and use it everywhere, aren't you?
IF I DID IT, THIS IS HOW IT HAPPENED: with love
