I was supposed to go in Year 10 for German, just like every other language class did that year. One day the teacher asks who thinks they'll be allowed to go, only a couple of kids put their hands up cause we haven't had a chance to ask our parents right? She spends the rest of the lesson telling us where we'll be going, what we'll be seeing, how awesome it is that we'll be there for Oktoberfest blah blah blah. The next day she walks in and says the trip is off because there weren’t enough people even though almost the whole class had permission by that stage! I was completely heart-broken and she did absolutely nothing to help. Even the French class, who had plenty of people, joined up with another school to get enough numbers. She didn't even consider it. My friend and I decided she must have had something on in those holidays that she didn't want to miss. I hate her. She's in Germany right this very second with the Year 10s and 11s from this year. I was so prepared to do German for years 11 and 12 but after that I couldn't stand class with her. She said that anyone who does German for year 11 will get to go but because my friend and I weren't prepared to do that, we missed out. I know the "I hate her" part may sound like an exaggeration considering the circumstances but she was a bitch before the Germany thing.

maybe we should go to germany!! i'm trying to convince my friend to go. she only wants to because of the beer, haha. omg...i'm probably gonna end up dead in germany...haha.
But I still want to go so maybe we can! That would be wicked, but who would we stalk in Germany? You know I would have met Danrad had I gone to Germany. I know this because I dreamt about it AND i later found out he was promoting HP there when we were supposed to go! Not that Danrad would have been a good stalking target, as he's boring and so gay, but he is famous!
Oh yeah, I've heard of this type. yeah we get a lot of these, not enough to take over the bogans though. Random OT note: All emos are closet gays. ALL. I know this for a fact.

No no no Angela, Spanish is an awesome language!! You know why? Because PAUL speaks Spanish! I would kill to be able to speak such a sexy language like Spanish fluently! Hope you are able to save enough moula to get there!

That is very true but the thing is, emos can be really lovely people... well some of them. But while I want the emos to win the war, it's not going to happen cause they're all wimpy.

I think the point I was trying to get at with the German thing was that all our text books had ugly pictures. Is that a common thing? Does it happen in all language textbooks? Are they trying to keep us away from their country?

Scottish accents are the best!! Then Irish. Then British. I really want to study abroad. Sweden and Scotland are at the top of my list. The only problem is that you have to declare your major a quarter before you go and I have no idea what I want to do. Technically I could go to Sweden this summer, but I have to declare my major and stuff. Then there's the whole money issue, but the study abroad people said that you can get financial aid for it.

mmm study abroad... I wanna study somewhere in Britain, but I don't know how what I would be studying. Either that or Hawaii, because I'm looking into geology and especially vulcanology.... you know, volcanoes and stuff? that would be so cool. but if I do regular geology or linguistics or anything else, I wanna go to Britain. Actually, my brother's in Ecuador right now, it's pretty cool.
Vinnie, I'm so jealous that you're already bilingual. that's one of the things I dislike about America, most people only speak English. We had a foreign exchange program this year, and the kids were from Switzerland, and they could all speak like five languages, it was so cool. I really wish I could speak more than one language.
