Alice! why don't you like TDS? Andy- this is a stupid question, but is there really a "Britain's Drunkest Pets"? Jon Oliver was so awesome- I laughed harder at that segment that I've laughed at any other episode, I think.
I really find Jon Stewart very annoying. The way everything has to be overstated and the punchline spelled out for you with his bemused look at the camera for 2 minutes, which I find completely pointless. It just detracts from the point. Sometimes I laugh at the clips he uses because it's been edited cleverly or something, but then he has to point out why it's funny - it just ruins the joke! And I really can't stand the shouting and whooping and over-excited cheering the whole time. I like my political satire to be subtle.
The same goes for Colbert. Not a fan of his either.
