  • OK Go does The Rapture!

I saw/heard this this morning, and I've been singing this song all day.

You can totally tell the crowd-participation part (na na na na etc). It's a simple song, but that's how a sports anthem should be.

And Sheri: "...the cure is more cowbell!" laugh.giflaugh.gif I don't know when or how that got started, but I know it's a boardie joke, and you're hilarious for using it. I love how much the drums and bass stand out on this.

    Thanks for sharing, shalu!
  • ints on an SNL Sketch with will ferrell ( i mean i dont know if thats why they are saying it but yeah)

Yeah, that's the origin. Christopher Walken on SNL. I didn't realize it had become a boardie thing--ha biggrin.gif
  • haha i love that sketch its like my favorite ever
  • It does sound like a Will Ferrell line. Thanks. Now, back on topic...
  • hey!!!!
I think Andy is backing up Damian!
I thought it was Tim, but when I listen closely, I'm pretty sure it's Andy backing up the na-na's.

"I put my pants on one leg at a time. Except once my pants are on, I make gold records." I love Christopher Walken!! (Especially when it's combined with Will Ferrell's exposed midriff. Classic.)

ETA: Here's a link to the sketch: More Cowbell
  • haha! i love his midriff haha his crease is even better though but you cant see it on the "need more cowbell" sketch

What is that even from? It's too high to be an appendectomy scar. I love that he doesn't hesitate to show it off, either. biggrin.gif

  • Oh how I love soccer and OK Go. Combined it is just too crazy.
And how I love Will Ferell as well. Life is good to me.

That's on the SNL: Best of Will Ferrell, right? I swear I've seen it, but I seldom stay up for Conan. I've also been known to let out with a "Goulet!" (Goo-lay) at random times!

And then there's the other classic: "I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight" sketch. "Do you want your money back?!" "Yes!" "Well, we don't have it!" (...must've been somethin' you se-yed...)

Thanks. I think I *have* seen this, or I was vaguely aware of it, but I hadn't put it together.

  • They probably spent a day on that.
Cute because it's them, but it sounds like a rushed, slapdash endeavor.
    "Na na na na"... hahahaha

Right. I bet they had fun with it anyway. It sounds like it. And fight songs are supposed to be simple. The cowbell cracks me up.

    Go fight win! haha

I have a friend who wears a T-shirt that says "Go Football!" HAH. He says a lot of people don't get it. Ok, that was kinda random... I should take a nap.
  • Edited: Ignore me.

    GO COWBELLS!

    Hee! Er...I mean Chicago Fire
