wow!! Hearing new stuff from the guys makes my heart race!!
That was quite a teaser, I mean, I can't quite get a true feel for the song, just a tiny hint of a taste...I guess that's how it was meant to be though!! JUST ENOUGH TO KEEP US INSANE FOR MORE AAAAAGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Sound, as we all realize, is made by vibrations moving through the air and hitting the receptors in our ears, right? What creates the acoustical quality of the room is the amount of things off of which the sound can bounce or, conversely, be absorbed into. The softer the surface, more sound is absorbed into it, thereby muffling the sound. The harder the surface, the more vibrations bounce off of it, allowing the sound to continue. SO. Think about a bathroom - it's all tile and metal and porcelain, hard surfaces! The vibrations bounce off of one and move to another, where it will bounce again and again, creating an echo effect. Next think of how enclosed a bathroom is in compact space - the bouncing happens quicker. When echos happen this close together your brain doesn't necessarily recognize it as an echo, but rather as a fuller sound.
That's the short version. I could go into more if anyone were really interested.

I love what I can hear of it. So looking forward to hearing the rest!
Seriously, why do bathrooms have like the best acoustics?
Seriously, why do bathrooms have like the best acoustics?
Yeah! They do. It's kind of funny that Dave uses it.
I like!
Indeed.
I didn't even notice the bathroom thing and had to watch it a third time.
I like how Dave Fridmann chuckles and shakes his head at 0:17. I wonder what these guys were like to work with compared to others he's produced.
Oh, and the song was good too.
Seriously, why do bathrooms have like the best acoustics?
Is that an actual question? Would you like me to answer it? Wouldja???
*super excited
