Oh my god, I beat Jade to post something!?!?! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

  • In which I beat Jade to another video:

Behind the scenes at the WK video shoot. An official OKGo video this time. (As much as I love Danimal vs. Animal, the channel needed something fresh.)

    ...Wait...I thought I was a photo ninja...not an all-round-anything-cool-relatedness-to-OKGo ninja haha.

And anyways...I'll embed that for you.

Oops, haha, I forgot the embed function.... You are still the picture ninja, and pretty much the link ninja also. I just happened to check my YT channel early today.

lol also sorry for the virtual talk-to-the-hand on FB, our computer lab has glass walls and fb is banned, so I was really pushing it...

  • my doggy clicked into this thread, so i tried to show him the vid, he seemed startled by the music, and jumped off the couch shortly after it started...
  • Great news story on the video. The article below the vid is just a verbatim of the vid.

    OK Go Doggone Music Video

It took 124 takes, though they wound up using take 72.

From E! this time. A little interview in between behind the scenes shots and also clips of the music video :)

  • The boys posted some great new vids on YouTube - behind the scenes Footage!

    Ranger the Goat:

    BUNNY!!!!!!:

Trish Sie, nothing more needs to be said:

    Short FAIL:

    Long FAIL:

    Raw Footage:

  • Thanks, Rachel.  Those are priceless.  Watching the finished product, you don't realize how much work goes into doing these videos in one take - I was frustrated just watching them!  Not sure I would have the patience.

Trish = hilarious.  I would love to meet her.

Bunny = adorable.  I wonder why Dora didn't get to be in the video.

  • Sure Beverley!  I must've watched that Bunny video 3 times last night.  SO Cute.  The dog they say looks like Trish is one of my favorites in the video, incidentally, so clearly she does follow her lookalike.  I have been wondering the same thing about Dora.  Poor Dora.  Bunny gets all the love.

And here's a video of Damian in Tompkins Square Park.  It's pretty much the raw footage from the E! News story the guys posted the other day.

    Yes, thank you Rachel!!

Watching all of the fails and the outtakes videos, it really makes you appreciate the hard work that they put into this video! WOW!

I came up with a theory this morning, when trying to take a pic of my black dog, that maybe Dora wasn't in the video because all black dogs don't film well. (Damian said she didn't want to do it... ;) )

I was thinking the exact same thing while doing close to the exact same thing. It's the same reason why it took a few months of having this picture as my desktop before noticing Dora was in it.

I had to go find a larger version of the pic... but OMG! There she is, right on Andy's legs! Poor Dora, shadow dog!

    See? Mind. Blown.

  • It took a very long time for me to notice Dora in that picture and I wouldn't have at all if someone hadn't pointed her out to me. Bunny kind of dominates that shot.

I can't watch the 2nd,4th and the last video!! :( I want to watch 'Bunny the Swamp Creature' so badly

but my YouTube says 'This video is not available in your country.' Yell

The long outtakes video is my favourite. You can really see how much work the whole team put into this video!

Trish is so sweet when she gets emotional during her little speech where she motivates the whole team just to enjoy the take and do it for themselves knowing that they already got good ones. I was close to tears when I watched this part. Trish played a very important role in the production process of this video. I think her emotional, motivating speech was definitely one of the reasons why they get through the last take.

  • Damian said that they also shot the video in 3-D, so a 3-D verson is coming out as well!

In an interview with NPR he said:

"The dog video—has everyone seen the dog video we just released?—we shot it in 3-D, but it hasn't been released yet. YouTube actually has an incredible 3-D player—some guy at YouTube in his off-time coded a 3-D player, like 'Oh guys, I made this.'"
