Um... well, the 6 strings in order from thickest to thinnest (lowest to highest) are E A D G B E. The frets are the line thingies... if you hold the 5th fret on each of the strings (except B ) then it'll be the same pitch as the next string up open. Does that make sense...? No...? I suck at teaching... but that info is useful for tuning, which is needed in order to play! So go tune your guitar! You haven't touched it in a while so it's probably horribly out of tune Mine goes out of tune if I don't touch it for 2 days. I suggest finding an A-F# (I think that's what it is? Hell if I know, I don't know what they're called) tuning fork and tune the A string first... then do the others.. and um... I'm horrible at teaching, find a local one LOL

unfortunately, i know this information,
and i have a tuner because the day i bought my guitar four years ago or something i broke a string trying to tune, so the next day i went and bout a tuner..
and uhh i have this book of chords so i try to play some, but i suck.. and get bored very easily!

Wow, he is young. Meg & Dia are pretty young too. 19 and 22, I believe... they're really good.

Lol. I broke my guitar strings once too, it was horrible. I was freaking out. Then I realized this happens all the time...

Starting out is pretty boring... yeah. Try doing G+, C+ and D+ chords and then switching between them slowly. It gets really easy after a bit. It's incredibly SLOW at first, but it gets fun soon... I promise.

If you get super bored, try playing It's Tough To Have A Crush... the easiest OK Go song ever The chords are D, A, and Gm.

i like the dude that does the weather in my city too... his name is Frank Faraginie and he also does this segment called "Frankies flowers". Its so weird that he is so insanely popular around here.
