[i'm just blubbering on about nothing here because i really don't have anything to say... and i have only ever heard 2 FOB songs... guess what they are?? (it's not actually a very hard question... although it may seem that way??)]

lol oh god, no i'm not devoted to FOB. A week ago if you'd told me there'd be FOB songs in my iTunes top 25 I'd have told you to fuck off. But I saw them live on Thursday, thought they were great and it's just what I do when I decide I like what I hear. If I think a band/artist is decent and I enjoy what I hear I order all their past CDs in one go (Naturally in order to decide whether I like 'em I illegally download them but hey, if I didn't I wouldn't know half the bands I love now). I got something like five FOB CDs (Four studio albums plus some acoustic CD) plus Jack's Mannequins Everything In Transit CD/DVD 'cause I was sick of walking into every fucking CD store in Australia and being told they didn't have it. I think in total it cost me about $100 including shipping. Which is pretty good for 6 CDs and a DVD.
I did the same with OK Go when I got into them. Downloaded an arseload of their music, decided I liked them. Then when I found no one in Australia stocked their albums I ordered 'em off amazon. Granted, OK Go were cheaper due to the lesser number of albums.

I went into JB Hi Fi the other day and OK Go finally have their own section under 'O' it's actually typed, not just one of those scribbled with a marker ones! It seems the people are catching on!
this past spring, i had to buy the first cd over again... i'm not sure at all what happened to mine... a few moves and high school did damage to all my cd's, but anyway... when i went into best buy to grab it up again, they had one left, and haven't gotten another of the self-titled ones since...
I won't lie. I have four copies of Hansons "Middle of Nowhere", two copies of their christmas album, three copies of "This Time Around" and three copies of "Underneath" (surprisingly since it's my least favourite of their work) but I flat out fucking refuse to buy their latest album UNTIL THEY FUCKING WELL RELEASE IT IN MY COUNTRY.
Fucking arseholes. I'm not ordering you from overseas, it's not like you're some obscure band most people have never heard of. Words cannot express how much I've started to hate them since they went indie.
(and I swear my reason for the multiple copies is ten odd years of overplaying them 'til half the songs no longer played)

firstly, i think i'm glad... full on FOB fans scare me...
secondly, it took me forever to find 'oh no' anywhere... [probably cause i live in the middle of nowhere] ...i searched through every music store in the area... and i din't find it... finally found it in brisbane about 2 months after a started seaching... by this time i had already downloaded most of the songs. but it's good to have the cd...
why can't you quote two people in the same message...??

very true.. a v probably would have worked... the last time i went into a jb they didn't have any ok go cds... i was disappointed... luckily the next shop i went into had one... but i haven't been to one in a while which is disappointing, because jb is awesome... but i don't have one anywhere near me... have to travel like 2 hours to get to one...

P.S. SORRY ABOUT THE THREE POSTS IN A ROW!!

(is there anyway to qoute more than one person in one message??)
A few ways.
1) Edit your single post a few times to include the extra quotes. This requires a lot of clicking. Basically post with the first quote, then go like you're going to post again with another quote, but instead of responding and posting a second time, copy and paste the quote with tags into the old message. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
2) the text of the previous 10 posts appears under the dialogue box for posting. Highlight, copy, and paste. Then use the button for the quote tags (little speech bubble four to the right of the smiley drop down box). It won't credit the poster/post, but at least you'll be quoting.
A close friend of mine is the DVD Manager of Broadmeadows down in Melbourne so she calls me every time there's a major sale. It's great.
I'll check my voicemail and it'll be like, "Katie, just letting you know House DVDs goes on sale next week, it'll be $39 marked down from $69 and it'll go for about a month" or "Just a heads up the discounted Quantum Leap stuff ends this Thursday so if you want to complete your collection I'd do it before then, otherwise the sets go back up to $50".
I love her. When I was in Melbourne it was even better 'cause whenver Iw anted something (CD/DVD/iPod/Whatever) I just told her what I wanted and she got it for me with the staff discount.
okay... just, glance at the picture really fast, and you will be able to see it. i couldn't find one of the showalter smirk that i love so much... but he does it too, it's so bizarre...
