    Mika is playing at the House of Blues in Chicago, on a Tuesday (boo). However, House of Blues is a great venue, it's a hop, skip and a jump from my work, and tickets are $23 (heh, 23). Hmm. Tickets don't go on sale for another 3 hours or so. Should be plenty of time to contemplate if I should go or not.

    Besides, I'd love to hear him sing Grace Kelly and Love Today. Not to mention Lollipop.

    I think I'm leaning more towards going than not going.

    I'm so jealous!! I got the email about it, and I checked the date, and I'm going to see Will Ferrell, Nick Swardson and Demetri Martin the exact same day on my campus... so I can't go sad.gif Otherwise, my friend and I would have driven in to see him. I like the HOB, I have lots of good (expensive) memories from there

    My friend got pizza with Demetri Martin and I am still jealous.

    Ok, so quick question: Is it really worth going to the Grand Canyon? I mean, people say "Oh you have to go." But I'm just not too interested. The only reason why it is tempting is because it's an hour and 40 minutes away. Still, should I really be more interested?

    I actually don't know much about what happened. All I know is that I went on Facebook and there was my friend, having pizza with Demetri Martin (apparently he came to her college. My friend is super charismatic and fantastic, so I figure she and her friends just flat-out asked him if he wanted pizza).


    Go! Worst comes to worst, you don't think it's all that great (or grand, har har). But if you don't go, you might regret it later. I would do it just because you can.

    I actually had that Pee Wee doll. Well not me personally, it was one of my older siblings I believe, but me being the youngest, I got it eventually haha. I think it may be in my attic. I kinda want to check now haha

    Sadly, that toaster is not for sale. It's a prototype and it was on the website of a designer. I don't know if it will actually be manufactured en mass(e?)- I really hope so tho.

    Hello Electra Mectra darling.

    I'm doing well I suppose. The past few weeks have been terrible, and I know the day grades come out will be really disappointing and depressing, but I'm trying to stay positive and just kick ass next quarter.
    Although this was the worst quarter academically (I took on too many challenging courses at once and didn't have enough time), it was excellent otherwise - I found awesome friends and developed a decent social life.

    So now, it is winter break and I have no plans (as always, it sucks), and I'm still recovering from a terrible finals week.

    How are you dear?

    I haven't been too bad thanks, kinda stressed over interviews and utterly sick of school now. But my winter break starts tomorrow, thankfully! Wooo smile.gif

    I have this Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker song and I listen to it all the time on cd, but it finally occurred to me the other day to put it on my ipod, and I think I hear, ever faintly, voices! I think they were saying something and whoever digitalized the recording tried to take the voices out!
    Altho, I could be hearing things.

    I love love love the Golden Girls! You're so lucky you get to watch it everyday, katie! My fav ep was when Dorothy was dating a guy in a Beatles tribute band. She encouraged him to leave the band to start a solo career. Sophia said something like, "Pussycat, listen to yourself. You're breaking up imaginary bands. Yoko Spornac. That's pretty pathetic."

    I was wearing my Ok Go hoodie in some windy cold weather yesterday. This is the mini-conversation about the hoodie that I had yesterday with a dental assistant:

    Dental Assistant: Oh, Rose, I like your jacket. Who makes Ok Go?
    Me: Ok Go
    DA: Yeah but are they made by JC Penny, or Dillards, or Tilly's?
    Me: I don't get the question?
    DA: What brand is Ok Go?
    Me: Are you asking if Ok Go is a clothing line?
