The turnout was amazing--they actually sold out the first weekend and next weekend is almost sold out as well. There was a bigger turnout than expected, since a lot of people came in from out of town to see Jazz Fest, both displaced New Orleanians and people from other parts of the country.
About half the population is back in the city. It's mostly the whiter, middle- and upper classes that have returned to their homes, as well as an influx of lower income (mostly construction) workers to help rebuild. Parts of the city seem completely back to normal, while other parts are still completely deserted.
I don't have any photography to post (well I do, but I don't feel like posting any right now.), but this does have to deal with my photography
My art teacher approved all of my photos to be in the art show. I picked 20 of my favorite and brought them to him to see, he likes them all a lot.
So the good thing is that I get to sell some of my photography (except one of Maddy, because it would be weird to have a total stranger buy a photo of a child he or she doesn't know.)
and the down side is that I have to buy 20 frames for my photos.

thanks. I bought my frames today, nine 8x10 frames, and 6 5x7 frames. I only chose to show 15 photos.
anyway, I bought them all at the dollar store, and they were chipped and mismatched colors, so I had to spray paint them all black, which I didn't mind because I go trigger happy with spray paint. ( I went over to my bike and started to spray paint it, but now one half is black, the other is white. )

When I spray paint things, I always end up painting the grass with my name, too. Which photos did you choose?
