I've had the greatest day. This morning my family (minus one sister who was seeing her bf instead) and I went to London Zoo, which was utterly crap and frankly cruel the last time I went, but is fantastic now! There were these tiny monkeys (LOL Tempe I almost spelled that 'monkees' instead!) that came so close to us, we could almost touch them. They were sitting on, and running across, ropes that were suspended over the pathways. ADORABLE! And I've got some amazing pictures.
And my sister and I were listening to OK Go songs in the back of the car on the way there and back, doing a sitting-down version of the AMW dance and singing along. We're so cool
-All my videos from the Will Ferrell Funny or Die Comedy Tour...
"No One" by Will Ferrell, Nick Swardson, Demetri Martin and Zach Galifianakis. YES. They are wearing capezio dance pants and ugg boots http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGMMBdEl9BQ
- getting new stuff for my flat - going to the movies to watch English movie (no stupid synchronised movie, yay!), The Jane Austen Book Club, not being sure if that's the best movie, then the movie starts with Paolo Nutini's "New Shoes" and a scene of a girl on treadmills and yes, good movie - Ikea food (aaah, god, just remembered, I bought some cake back, YES! ) - now eating super perfect mmmmh cake
It starts as a complaint, but it always seems to turn out well in the end.
It's kind of awesome to be in our own apartment during university. Yes, dorms are nice and all, but we actually have to deal with bills and heat problems and feeding ourselves and the internet regularly crapping out (because no one told us the router needs regular updating. What?) and bedbugs (though no more!) and moving and all of the things most people have to deal with upon graduation. It's a nice in-between step where we're still in university and not yet completely on our own, but we still have to learn how to take care of our place, suck it up, and deal with shit ourselves.
When I am out of university, I am going to be the absolute best at dealing with computer problems and apartment vermin. Just you wait and see!
every time i complain i feel the urge to counterpoint it with something that makes my happy...
-talking to rad friends. even when i don't have lots to say... its just nice to listen sometimes.
- Grand: PM last night was amazing. Rollo Puzz, and Felster and I talked to the new member and hes totally cool... could never replace the force that is Paul H... but hes pretty rad in his own ways.
