PS: Art Brut is playing Paris two days after WAS. Booyah.

Haha, I wish I could be a writer. I actually just wrote up something for one of Ken's friends. His friend puts together this little book with collections of stories written by people he knows (he's trying to expand it) called Red Line Blues. In a package, Ken gave me a copy of the last edition called "Night Driving." All the stories are pretty short and focused around this topic of driving. It's absolutely wonderful. Ken was saying how hsi friend hopes to make it bigger, but I kind of like the fact that every story in the little book is written by someone this guy knows in some way.
So, for the next edition (this one is focused on "1991"), ken printed off a list of all the albums that came out in 1991 and we each chose five or so albums/bands and wrote something about them (he thought this up first because, well, in 1991 I was three and he was thirteen and it's kind of funny that while he was listening to these bands, I was listening to Raffi.)
I just sent in my albums (which were, by the way, Bikini Kill, NOFX, They Might be Giants, Violent Femmes, and Ween). I just want Ken's friend to like me so I'm incredibly nervous. I forgot how much I missed writing things for fun. It certainly beats "HEY LET'S WRITE ABOUT KARL MARX!!! ISN'T COMMUNISM SO SEXY???? LOL KARL, YOU WANT A COMMUNE OF WOMEN??!??! YOU'RE A RIOT KARL."
This was far too long. I just don't want to study. Poopface.
So let's talk about HOW UPSET I AM that Nightmare of You is hitting up the UK between January 19th and 26th.
Normally, I'd be ECSTATIC about this. HOWEVER.
1) Barry's going to be in the US, and I can't go see NOY in the UK without him. He's the one who got me into them, and the whole damn record makes me think about him.
2) The only dates I could make would be Leeds, Manchester, or Birmingham. I don't know anybody in Leeds, Manchester, or Birmingham. Nor do I feel like making the trek to any of those cities. I do know people in Nottingham and London, but hey, those are during the week, and I can't make it.
3) I'm supposed to be in the UK for the first week and second weekend of January anyway as it is.
BAH! Bah on Regina Spektor for playing in Paris when I'm not going to be here! Also, bah on the fact that the only tickets left for the Rufus Wainwright concert are 77 euros, which I so cannot afford, as much as I love Rufus. And when did the Kasabian show sell out??
Anyway. Maybe I can get Angelina to go see the Killers with me in March.
Drake Bell acoustic set and meet and greet, Atlanta, Saturday.
It's going to be hot. I'm wearing my OK Go tie, spreading the word to all the little 'Drake and Josh' chil'rens. And I'm bringing cookies and choco lollies. whooo.
bright eyes is comming to toronto on the 27th this month but its a lil to expensive for me . i guess it ok... they are playing at the opera house which is a crappy venue.

Is it worth it to pay $38 (+fees, maybe?) to see the Killers?
Also...does anyone know who the opening acts might be? (the shows on april10th)
Thanks!
