^ I wish you were here in MA too! cause then we would totally be at both Ok Go and Tally Hall together! (if you went to the Boston MA show, as well as the Northhampton MA show. or if I traveled out to Northhampton to see Tally Hall as well as to see them in Boston. which, now that I think about it, isn't too bad an idea...hmm...)
Chili Peppers Oct. 20
Death Cab Nov. 3
Ok Go Nov. 16
Tally Hall Nov. 18 (and possibly Oct. 22, although that one will most likely be 18+)
I'm still kind of pissed I didn't go see Tally Hall. Now, I'm just praying that the wild wind of Canada calls the boys north.
Yeah.
(hopefully, assuming I can get tickets) Art Brut/the Spinto Band/We Are Scientists- October 15th the Decemberists- Nov. 5th Kid Koala- Nov. 25th (the guy is INSANE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbFIGFv4GLQ Apparently, what's especially amazing is that he does all of his scratching without headphones [as most DJs use to hear where the disk is], just by sight alone. Usually, live, he has at least two other DJs on two seperate tables. One does drums, one bass, and Kid Koala usually does leads. It's apparently fantastic live, which is why he needs to be seen.)
I saw Les Respectables (there are some accents in there I'm just too lazy to put in). Besides the fact that I couldn't understand a word they were saying (they're a francophone, apparently formerly REALLY popular band, which is why the concert was in the Bell Center in Montreal rather than some small venue), it was RIDICULOUS. The first half was pretty normal. The second half, however, included a tapeezist from Cirque du Soleil (she did cloud swining, which is a solo trapeeze where they swing and do flips and catch themselves, usually by the feet or whatever), a full orchestra, and strippers (I kid you not. I was with my friend Nick and Jon and my boyfriend Ken and we were all like, "OH BOOBS?!" The poor 8 year-old in front of us was scarred I think. Still, it was rather tastefully done as far as strippers go. The weird thing was how no one onstage really aknowledged them. It was kind of like, "eh. Boobs happen" kind of mentality, which made the whole thing that much more entertaining). Absolutely wonderful.
I'll also continue to plug this, SEE RATATAT LIVE OK?!
i don't know if this counts, as he's not really a musician, but aziz ansari is coming to my school in a couple weeks. (if you haven't already, you need to go to his mypsace and watch shutterbugs and his video w/ tapes 'n tapes as their "marketing guru" named clell tickle)

Also, was going to see Snow Patrol next Wednesday, as tickets were only 15 euros, but they're all sold out now.
