I'm speaking from experience as well. Stop being such a music snob, it's getting annoying. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, and last time I checked, 90% of OK Go fans are WAS fans as well, so you're basically outnumbered here.

hmm... so Death Cab is in 8 days... and my friend's parents are probably making her move before she can come... and the other kid coming with us is someone I don't talk to a lot... and I have the tickets.. and if she does move (to toronto) then I'll have one, maybe two extra tickets (dunno if andrew'll wanna go or not w/out ani) and I have no clue what's going on.
but I'm excited.
oh, and no Ok Go for me, as the Boston show is 1) 21+ and 2) a "win tickets from WFNX" and I have no luck whatsoever. which means four shows in the past 13 months I haven't been able to go to. gahh.

Well, they weren't good following Art Brut. It would have been good had they been before I guess, but they were just too low energy, especially at 2 am. I didn't mean that to be rude, sorry if it sounded that way.
Katy, I didn't mean that to sound rude, RELAX. I like WAS, but they're so low energy it doesn't compare to OK Go. It's like comparing The Lashes to Stars, you just can't do it. Kind of like when you saw Franz with Death Cab. Speaking of which, I think a good show would be Death Cab, WAS, and Stars. Man, I'd pay big money to see that.

I don't think WAS is low energy. Maybe they were having an off night. I definitely wouldn't put them with DCfC and Stars.
Edit: I think someone's just gotten married and that's why all the cars are outside honking. I think. Since when is it the French tradition to drive around being obnoxious when someone gets hitched?

Really? When I saw them, it was complete insanity. Kids were jumping everywhere and just cheering and dancing.... granted, I was in the mosh, but still.
Also, I was lucky enough to see them on the last night of the WAS tour with Art Brut and the Spinto Band (who are a bunch of cuties, btw. I talked to Thomas since he went to Bennington which is where my bf went [which is actually how I found out about the show. ken asked me to listen to them and I loved them, found out they were touring with WAS, freaked, and bought tickets]. My friend, who was adorably drunk at the time, kept saying I was "PRACTICALLY FAMOUS." ...then she forgot about it and we danced). Because it was there last night, they went all out: everyone coming onstage for the "finale," Chris not having any clothes on besides underwear, etc. etc.
It was one of the best concerts I've been to. I was so ridiculously sweaty and out of breath by the end from trying not to fall over in the mosh (the most that happened to me was that I lost a shoe then regained it. I was, for about 5 minutes until I found it, really thrilled at the prospect of going home with only one shoe on).
This is too long, so
summary: I'm sorry yours wasn't so high-energy, but, ont he whole, it seems that WAS is usually a bunch of rablerousers.
