  • Yeah I was with mel for Silverstein.
Silverstein was too rad, but in order to see them I had to stomach a helping of JMac (Jesse McCartney).
    This is what happened..
Jessi [host on MTV Canada]: Kay we're gonna play a game. I'm gonna tell you a rumour, and you tell me if it's true or not.
    JMac: Okay.
Jessi: You get your inspiration from the shower.
    JMac: Um...
    Me from the balcony: Ew...
Jmac: laugh.gif someone just said ew.

As JMac was saying that, the camera zoomed up on Fel, Mel, Al and I. JMac stared at me for like 30 seconds, and Daryn was like "DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!"
    daryn is too funny.
This is how we looked when the camera zoomed up on me..I brightened it though.

    "United States Of Whatever"

I went down to the beach and saw Kiki
    She was, like, all "ehhhh"
    And I was, like, "whatever!"

Then this chick comes up to me and she's all, like,
    "Hey, aren't you that dude?"
    And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

So later I'm at the pool hall
    And this girl comes up
    And she's, like, "awww"
    And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

    Cuz this is my
    United States of Whatever!
    And this is my
    United States of Whatever!
    And this is my
    United States of Whatever!

    And then it's three A.M.
And I'm on the corner, wearing my leather
This dude comes up and he's, like, "hey, punk!"
    I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

Then I'm throwing dice in the alley
Officer Leroy comes up and is, like,
"Hey, I thought I told you..."
    And I'm, like, "yeah, whatever!"

    And then up comes Zafo
I'm, like, "yo, Zafo. What's up?"
    He's, like, "nothin'"
    And I'm, like, "that's cool."

    Cuz this is my
    United States of Whatever!
    And this is my
    United States of Whatever!

you must listen to the song :link to song
also... KIDNAPPING is the way to go! plus I dare you to hold up your lighter during his set. That would be teh rad.

    OHHHH. That song.

I've listened to so many songs and didn't know what they were called or who they were by.. sad.gif

It took me at least a year to realise the guy who made Potter Puppet Pals was also the creator of "Word Disassociation." dry.gif

It's like I told Andy the other day, I'm a bit slow sometimes! laugh.gif

Everyone, feel free to beat me with a rubber snausage! (after I figure out what a snausage is.. sleep.gif; )

RHCP and Duran Duran next fall at Voodoo Fest!! I'm so excited!

Yes I'm quoting myself, but I recently discovered that also playing the festival are Jack's Mannequin, Wu Tang Clan, My Chemical Romance, The Living Things, Social Distortion, and The Flaming Lips. Best weekend ever! two months from now woo!
  • *jaw drop*

that's amazing! hope it's as fun as it sounds!
  • so the crimea are playing the same night as upper room are

already got my upper room tickets though, really want to see the crimea again though as they are the best live band ive ever seen

    hmmm
  • My roommate just bought us tickets to go see a Ratatat concert on the 7th... my first concert in Montreal.

    FUCK YEAH.
  • I saw the Sam Roberts' Band tonight.

They were pretty kick-ass, esp. since I had never heard of them before.. though they were prone to long instrumentals that all kind of sounded the same after 3 minutes. Still, I got to flail and the Metropolis is an amazing Montreal venue.

Also, along with the aforementioned Ratatat concert, my roommates and I bought tickets to go see THE FUCKING DECEMBERISTS on november 5th at Metropolis. I'm so incredibly excited, I honestly bounced a bit.

Poll: $41 Raconteur tickets. Worth it/not worth it?
  • w00t. Tickets for Muse go on sale next week. *dances*

mad.gif They came 2 hours from me here about a month ago, and I almost went, but then my parents had to leave town immediately, and I wasn't allowed to go.
I leave next week, and they come to town 1 1/2 week later.
They'll be in Scotland while im there, hitting up 2 places, but tickets cost 27.50pounds, which is like, 50 bucks. Which is a lot, leaving still travel fares.
So that makes me miss Muse 4 times in one year, plus 2 other times i've missed them... 6! Yay... sad.gif

Tickets here are $87 and I may have to tack on a $300 return ticket to another state just to see them. BUT THEY ARE SO WORTH IT. <3<3<3
  • Um, yeah Amanda thats SO not expensive for the places they are touring to. Sometimes ticket to Wembley cost just short of £50... Sorry but gigs here aren't always cheap. However, small venues in scotland do seem to be just about the cheapest. And years ago when I went to see my uncle, the train from Edinburgh to Dundee cost £16 return. Its not THAT expensive. You just need to get a student rail card!!!

Annnd, I'm seeing OK Go in 23 days smile.gif
  • Woe. I'll never get to see OK Go live sad.gif

Aww, that would've been a great show since it's his hometown. It's always better to see him in small clubs, I've seen him at tons of festivals too and the tinier venues are always crazier.

Yeah! It was also a special show for the frosh, so the entire place was filled with screaming drunk kids who just wanted to dance. It was fantastic.
  • My friend wants me to go to Death Cab/ Ted Leo and the Pharmacists... I dunno if I will or not.

also, I might go to the Bloc Party/ Panic! show... I really really wanna see Bloc Party live, although its in an arena I think it'd be worth it still. Plus I can get my cousins to go with me.
  • Death Cab plus OK GO 11/29!! Tickets go on sale next Tuesday!

    WOW!
that sounds like lots of fun!
I love Jack's Mannequin and the Hush Sound.
    What's the other 2 bands?
  • Um Copeland (who was reallllllly good)
and Daphe Loves Derby (who wasn't goooood)
I'm quite bummed because I caught only about 60 seconds of the hush sound. I didn't think theyd' start on time (the venue never does) and I didnt think the hush sound would be first.
    But Jack's mannequin was ammmmmazing
