So I'm officially going to three concerts this spring (so far!):
Apollo Sunshine, 2/27, Northampton, Mass. (verrrry excited and verrrry soon) The Gossip and Lesbians on Ecstasy, 3/24, Northampton, Mass. (even more excited, the frontwoman for Lezzies on X is hot- and I'm straight) and... Death Cab For Cutie and Franz Ferdinand, 4/12, NYC! (WOOT WOOT!)
I presale tix for that one from Ticketmaster, and I've got floor tix, which is awesome. I don' t know if my brother and are going to show up waaaaaayyy early to try to get in the front row or not (seeing as I'm crazy and don't mind doing these things...), so we'll see...
Yessss! I'm going to Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie too!!!! I got floor tix too!!! And I'm going with my brother too!!! Yesss we rock! Congrats to you!!! I'm so excited!
Man! How can you guys esp. Head Full of Crazy afford all those concerts! You must be a millionaire!
I will be going to see OkGo twice. Franz Ferdinand & Death Cab for Cutie for sure. still pondering about SXSW but probably not...only in my dreams. Hopefully Stereolab. and I REALLY want to go see Belle & Sebastian and the New Pornographers (has anyone seen these 2 live? do they put on good shows?)

Wooooooooooot!!! Are you going to NYC or somewhere else? (I'm assuming somewhere else, since you mentioned SXSW, and that's in Texas.)
I haven't seen B&S or the New Pornographers live, but I bet they're great. I just discovered the New Pornographers yesterday (because iTunes sharing rocks my socks), and they're awesome.

Yess! Texas it is. Although I would love to go to NYC! Yeah, the New Pornographers are awesome! I haven't gotten the chance to hear B&S and their new album yet but I'm excited nonetheless that they're coming, I hope to go but may not... but sooo many other concerts too!
The Strokes - March 31st,Los Angeles We Are Scientists - April 1st,Los Angeles Coldplay- April 4th,Uncanisville She Wants Revenge w/Nightmare of You- April 6th,Providence Wolf Parade w/holy f*ck-April 8th,Providence Franz Ferdinand/Death Cab For Cutie/The Cribs-April 13th,Manhattan Zox w/State Radio-April 29th,Providence And hopefully OKGo in April if pollstar is correct, which would be fantastic.
Well, those are all the definites for now,but I don't know what'll come up in between then yet.
and I REALLY want to go see Belle & Sebastian and the New Pornographers (has anyone seen these 2 live? do they put on good shows?)
ok, i'm a little late in seeing this, but i've seen belle & sebastian live, and thought they were kinda boring... though i should add that the idiot behind me kept screaming STEWIE!!! after EVERY song, which definitely took away from my ability to enjoy myself...
as for my up coming gigs: smoking popes - march 11 (won tickets from the radio, whoo hoo) the strokes - april 7

Is someone in the band named Stewie? Only makes me think of Family Guy! Why are there always dumb idiots at concerts? If we could only pick all of them out and throw them in a huge dumpster, that'd be great. One time, I was in front of some group of extremely annoying people that kept harrassing me with their big plastic blow up baseball bat that they won at Six Flags and they just kept waving it around not really noticing that they were hitting people. I really wanted to punch their faces in but anyway...Apparently this concert is sold out already so I guess I'm not missing anything.
So I don't have any firm plans for shows, but I may be going to see The Living Things in a couple weeks, and possibly The Working Title with Mute Math I think--are they good live oknow?

Ah, yes my little grasshopper. Mute Math is e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t. Supreme with extra cheese and sour cream on top. I urge you to go ASAP!!! Saw them twice, both times were the whipped cream with the cherry on top. Seriously, they put on top notch shows, very energetic, very nice guys, and you get to see Paul play the keytar! How exciting is that! When's the last time you saw someone play the keytar!
Ah-ha! Mystery unveiled. If they had yelled out "stuart" you should have yelled "little" nah, too lame. No more suggestions from me, sorry. Sometimes, you just want to slap people who yell STEWIE!! at Belle & Sebastian concerts, I understand.

Oh, man. I would say we could like, meet up for the FF/Death Cab show, but you're going on Thursday and I'm going on Friday.
Also, do you live in Mass.? I totally want to got see the guys out at Wellesley, but I don't think I can get out there, and that makes me way sad. I think I've been to like, almost every Mass. show in the past year, haha...
I'm also really stuck- I want to go see Dashboard in Worcester during Spring Break, but I don't have anyone to go with, and I really shouldn't be spending anymore money on tickets...
Oh, yes, and I forgot to add- Apollo Sunshine was pretty great. Especially the ukeleles. My friends and I were really close to the stage- I didn't take pics when Sam (I think it was Sam...) was playing that dulcimer-esque instrument thinger, because he was so close to me, that I felt rude sticking my flash camera in his face. I'd never been to the Iron Horse before, so I didn't know it was that small! Also, before the show, I was trying to find the bathrooms, and accidentally almost walked into the band's dressing/waiting room downstairs. Oooops. The opening band, Fashion People, were a Northampton high school band, and they weren't incredible, but they were good, and far better than any other high school band I've ever heard. I'd be interested to see where they are in five years if they stick together- they've got potential.
So that whole Dashboard Confessional in Worcester thing isn't going to work out- it's far too difficult for me and my friends to get out there and get back.
So I'm going to see Man In Gray in Bristol, PA instead. Apparently it's being held in a church basement, and admission is $5 OR two cans of non-perishable food items. Which I just find so amusing. Haha.
So Bryan, if you're reading this- you've managed to get me to go to one of your shows.
Blah! So apparently Man In Gray had to cancel their PA show. Which means I am going to no concerts for Spring Break and I am visiting my grandmother tonight instead. (That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, she makes really good spaghetti and meatballs.)
But I quite possibly might be going to see Scamper on May 26th, and if I do, they've promised that they'll (and I quote) "guestlist the hell out of you" ("you" being me). Sweet.
Hope you have fun! Give us some reviews when you get back! Push aside all the teenyboppers or just stand in line and yell nonsense at them, they'll think you're superfun.
