The Strokes are coming here (to Tucson). The Strokes absolutely positively NEVER come to Tucson. They always pick Phoenix. And They come to Tucson, and I can't go. How lame is that.
Bon Jovi and the Goo Goo Dolls toured together all the time a few years ago, which would have been the best show ever in my opinion, but the shows always sold out so fast and were really expensive so I never made it to one. If they ever tour together again, I am SO there.
I'm probably going to see Rufus Wainwright next Sunday cause he's playing on campus, even though I'm not a huge fan. That's the only show in my immediate future at the moment, unless I go see HIM in May.
wait, Imogen is 1/2 of Frou Frou right?! I'm guessing that you're going to some gigs in TX and FL, right? That magically becomes 4 shows! Wow! Lucky! I think I'll be going to maybe 2 more, could be 3 but going to go see Imogen I've decided... or maybe not... ack! too many choices!!! What/Who is everyone going to go see this spring/summer? or rather, who's touring this summer?
Nope, 4 shows in austin and dallas. Can't go to the florida ones.
I won tickets to see this aussi band called Wolfmother yesterday. I went with Yodie and kept making jokes at her b/c she likes 'em and only about 10 people showed up by 8pm... and by people i mean only crazy stoner dudes talking about the different types of car alarms there are.
... but by 9pm the bar was full and we weselled our way to the front row (thanks dudie that looked like Jack from Dawsons Creek for letting us cut...). They actually put on a great show, despite me being uber skeptical they won me over.
I know yall have seen about a gazillion gigs so far this year, but this is the first one for me this year.... and it was actually good
OH MY GOD I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE BON JOVI.
There's always rumours that they're going to play like an hour away from me, and then they never come true..
My grandmother's first cousin's daughter (I don't know what kind of cousin she is to me, but she's not all that distantly related, even though it sounds like it) used to date the drummer from Bon Jovi years and years ago.
Haha, that rules. How many of us can say we've dated somebody named Tico.
See, I didn't even know the guy's name. I just know he's the drummer from Bon Jovi. *shrugs* That's the important part, I guess.

Yep, Katy, you like to brag about your connections....
Are you mocking me because of my I-know-someone-who-knows-someone-who's-somehow-related-to-Andy-Ross story? 'Cause I personally think that's a way funny story.

They seem like they'd be amazing to see live.
And you're seeing the Who? How awesome!
