its sure to be a great set of shows. the band list is not out yet but great bands went to the SXSW conference...

the cost is sooooo high thought, probably wont get a pass and just go to a couple of shows wink.gif
  • Never heard of it but it sounds awesome. Being from Austin, anything resembling SXSW intrigues me.
  • The 88 are coming to the East coast in May. I might just drool all over myself in excitement.

Shows are the one thing my mother is allright with. She's realized that I can balance school and music and has given me free reign (she was even awesome enough to let me go to a mid-week OK Go show. She came with me when all my friends couldn't due to homework. I'm proud to say she was there. She loves the Go too and it's adorable). So, she basically allowed me a trip to PA or MA (since the NY show is 21+... damnit) as long as I take a caravan of people with me.

Short story: I love my mummsy.

COME TO MA! If you come to the 4/26 OK Go show in Northampton, you can camp out on my floor. Assuming I have room on my floor still....anyway, so far it's me, my friends Erica, Sarah, and Meghan, possibly my friend Jenni, and Carin and Elle from over here. Maybe more people. If I can round them up. I think I'm going to try to get everyone to meet in one spot pre-concert that way we can get pizza and hang out in line.

Anywho. I'm supposed to go see The Gossip tonight, and I don't know if I'll have time. Also, I just found out that The Bravery is playing at MoHo on 4/20, so I may just have to go see them.
  • sorry i have to vent... please ignore this posting if you don't like reading about complaints.

ok, i have a complaint about Death Cab for Cutie concertgoers, could you at least muster up some energy for Franz Ferdinand??? Jeez, I just got back from that concert and Franz Ferdinand was awesome but I doubt that they'll ever come back since the crowd was just full of DCFC emo kiddies sentimental and just so blah. Franz Ferdinand looked so bored, I'm sorry Franz Ferdinand for the less than dull crowd... Tried my best. I had lots of fun in my 0.5" perimeter of personal space though... i heart Franz Ferdinand. the end.
  • OMG, I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Death Cab was the first concert I had gone to after Hanson (not as far apart as you'd think, like 2 weeks) and it was so different. I felt weird for talking to my friend because everyone was quiet. I got some weird stares when I started to bounce a little to "Soul Meets Body." I still don't know why they put those 2 bands together, the crowds and the music is so different, but I was really bummed to miss it anyway.
  • yeah, they are 2 completely opposite bands! I was trying to have fun dancing and waving my hands around like a crazy fool, everyone around me sucked the life out of the concert. There was one little mixed group of mothers that were way into it, I wish I was closer to them but I still had fun, I still danced around like a monkey and probably annoyed the DCFC fans but oh well!!!
  • DCFC fans are also old.
