Could you make some paisley scrubs? That would be pretty kick-ass.

My hometown in NJ is also a Revolutionary War site. George Washington and the troups spent a brutal winter there. Still, were you live sounds pretty.

Wait!!! You aren't by any chance from Morristown, NJ, are you???

Now wonder you are a jedi. You're psychic. Yes, I am from Morristown.

Not only am I from Morristown, but I'm going to get arrested for wearing kick ass paisely scrubs, a business jacket, and a stethescope all at once. I'll get arrested, and get my own mug shot. This mug shot, however, will be very special. I will hold up a pic of Damian's mugshot next to me while posing for my mugshot. Then I will want to stay in jail, because once my mom finds out, she'll have me killed.

Ooo, paisleys! You're so clever. My school prefers us to wear only green or blue scrubs. How dull is that? dry.gif
  • QUOTE (oknow @ Mar 15 2006, 08:06 PM)
yes. and you will probably have to take a mug shot. be prepared always. the end.

business or scrubs??? that's all the choices u get??? maybe you should mix the two. wear scrub bottoms with a suit jacket and tie or a stethoscope(sp?). and scrub shoes! that would be a sight to see. then you wouldn't actually be breaking the rules! yay!

Yay! Great idea! Anything to get arrested tongue.gif

HAHA. I knew it! My mom was an Early American History major, and she's been working at Rev. War museums around NJ and PA for several years now. We were also in the 2nd NJ regiment reenactment group for a long time. So basically, long story short, I've been dragged to probably every Rev. War site in the state. And being the genius that I am wink.gif, I actually remembered that the winter spent at Morristown was far worse than the one spent at Valley Forge.

I'm done being a dork now.

Also, I want to see your mugshot once all of the above happens. biggrin.gif

Lol, I love that idea of making some creative scubs! I hate wearing scrubs. I avoid it at all cost (and yet, I'm in a health school, go figure?)

Dang! No dorkyness there, just really smart thinking going on. Have you ever thought of a career as a private detective? You are good! You poor thing, have you been to my old stinky state of NJ? I even told Tim and Damian about how much I hate NJ.

Ah, I will have to show you all my mugshot once it happens. I will have Mr. Mr. Mr. Jorge, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore, Whom I Adore post it (He will do it whether he wants to or not, I am from NJ. We are all in the mafia.)

I love my home state!!! I'm such a Jersey girl, it's kind of ridiculous.

But I live out in Hunterdon County, so we're kind of the not-so-Jersey part of Jersey.

Yey, you're a jersey girl too! Yes, you're out by Pennsylvannia aren't you? I guess I'm a jersey girl too, but don't realize it (at least that's what my friends tell me). Once a Jersey girl, always so right? wink.gif

Since you and your mommy are into historical reenactments, I just thought I'd mention a crazy thing I saw in the local paper here. They have cowboy shooting reenactments. People dress up in 19th cent. American West clothing and have shooting contest with authentic 19th cent guns and rifles. The event is called the Annual Winter Range. It takes place way out in the middle of the desert west of Phoenix. Hee-haw!!!

Does anyone else think that's an odd event to have? Who'd like to duel it out with Damian in your authentic 19th cent. clothing? Come on, people. I know you do.

Yeah, home is about half an hour from Phillipsburg, NJ/Easton, PA. Hour west of NYC, hour to an hour and a half from Philly. It's a really nice location- if you ignore the fact that there's NOTHING to do around here...

Lol, at least you've got trees. I've got cactus, and they only come in handy for shoving people into them. lol

It's raining again right now! The dry spell is over. Every radio station I know started playing rain dance weekends. Hoping to cause rain by playing continuous music. Little did they know that all it would really take to make it rain would be a little thing called "The Million Ways" dance. Am I crazy to assume that Ok Go coming to town finally brought back the rain?

I saw the funniest commercial yesterday. This boss guy is trying to convince the employee that everyone in the office likes him, and to prove his point, he picks up a potted cactus and chucks it at another employees back, were it gets stuck. The second employee gets pissed, but when the boss says that the first employee did it, he's just like, "Oh, Stanley...you're so funny..."

The cactus amused me to no end.

Probably. But it's part of your charm.

Lol, thanks for the laugh. I had a lousy day at school today so it really cheered me up that cactus story. Let's just say I was so mad I went on a foul-mouthed swearing rampaige, shocking and appauling all who know me. They don't realize how much I truly do like to swear but am usually forced to hold it back. This one teacher today annoyed me so much, I just spewed out all my feelings like a firey volcano. Ack! Just thinking about the guy right now makes me want to break things. So instead, I will think about shoving him into a cactus. Ah, yes the cactus is my friend. Has it snowed out there on the eastcoast? How's the costume designing going?
  • Ooo, just saw your new icon. Very very nice. But no more princess laya? Ah well that new one's hot! Good job. Me very jealous. Are those things hard to make?

It snowed like, a week ago, but that was up in MA. I'm in Jersey, and it hasn't snowed, but it's still cold and I don't like it. tongue.gif Costuming would be going good, if only I would stop fiddling around on the internet and actually draw. sad.gif

I hope you don't have another lousy day at school!

Yeah, I decided to retire Princess Leia for a while. She'll probably return. I just thought that this icon was more time-appropriate. wink.gif The icons I make aren't really difficult, because I can't do anything fancy- all I have is Paint, so I'm usually stuck with just cropping photos down, resizing them, and adding text. (But actually, yesterday, I started fiddling around with the colour balance on a few pics, and I came up with some really nifty Rusty icons...)

A basic icon isn't hard to make. You just have to open it in Paint or Thumbs or something like that and crop a square. Most icons have to be 100x100 pixels or smaller. If you want to use a section that's bigger than that, that's okay, just make sure that you crop a square (150x150, 200x200, etc.) and resize it to 100x100. Voila. smile.gif
  • my little new england town isn't very quaint, or New England-ish.
It's just VERY suburban. All the kids( excepting my friends and I) smoke pot because there's nothing better to do, then go out and get drunk on the weekends. The only good thing is we're in too poor a section of suburbia to have heavier drug problems.

We do have a very pretty lake, though. At sunset, it's gorgeous. (its also in my avatar)

We don't have any historical significance, either. just oldness and industrialness (we were big in the shoe and wicker industries and our town is named after the guy who turned us industrial)

but, we did have a peace protester guy who was one of the Chicago Eight (Seven?) and did cool stuff.

the weather's been screwed up, though. Like it was the 50s in Jan. and on the first day of spring it was 20s ish. I hate it when that happens.

Ah, thanks. The rest of the week has been much better. Although, as I was leaving school today, the teacher that caused my rage happened to be crossing the street just as I came to the stop sign. Oh, oh my poor little foot struggled not to move toward the gas pedal.

Thanks for the info on icons. I gotta try to make one. Everybody has such cool looking ones.
