you know the part of the dance where they're in a line and they cross their arms like axes? I think that's what they're talking about..correct me if I'm wrong...
When the guys did the spot on "Good Morning, America" waaaaay back in like, November, they were supposed to be teaching one of the show peoples how to do the dance. So he gets up on stage, and they like, postition him and whatever, and then Damian tells him, "You need to have hands like axes! HANDS LIKE AXES!" You know, for the very beginning and very ending, when they've got...um...axe-like hands going on? (We called them "blades" in cheerleading...)
So now it's just amusing to yell out "HANDS LIKE AXES!"
ALSO- you get points for saying "confuzzled." I used to say "confuddled and befused" all the time, to the point where I couldn't really say "confused" or "befuddled" without having to stop and think about it.
Nah, it's at the very beginning when their hands are very straight at their sides. Damian yelled at that poor guy on Good Morning America when he couldn't get it right.

Haha, yeah, what Katy said.
Well, they have hands like axes going on at the end of the song, in the part after the fight bit and before the male stripper move/lift, when they're moving around to "one zero zero zero zero zero zero." Even though, you're right, Damian was yelling at the guy for not getting it right at the beginning of the dance.
yeah, I missed the Good morning america episode too! Anyone have it? AXE HANDS people! AXE HANDS!! sorry just random yelling, I like AXE HANDS in all caps... it's very nice and effective.
Woo hoo for being confuzzled! And you, jedi_grrlie, making up your own words, that's so Kulash.

lol, I never knew each move in the dance had a funny name.

Well, I just kind of give them all names so that I know what I'm talking about. There's the conga line bit, the Jets bit (and Damian ALWAYS turns a half a second too early after between "lipstick and callous" and "fishnets and malice"), the Saturday Night Fever bit, the Rusty-Damian duet, the cheerleading section in the middle, the Matrix part, the Hands Like Axes part, the male stripper move, and the lift. Everything else I usually just identify by what's being sung at that point.
All right. So. Time for some housekeeping on this thread.
First off, ConversationFear posted some really good ones a few pages ago that didn't get numbered, so I'm adding them now:
92. Because they pair irresistible, hip-slinging music with whip-smart lyrics. 93. They don't suck as people. 94. They all have pretty teeth.
And I just realised that my number 80 is the same as my number 12 or 13, one of those), so I shall now amend that:
80. A bunch of them are not only talented members of a talented band, but they also have their own talented side projects. Rusty has his own solo record out on Serious Business Records. As far as I know, Andy Duncan is supposed to be working on his own solo project. And Tim has written a play and had it produced.

87. Tim is an uncle, too.
How cute! Does Tim have a sister or a brother? Is the person a niece or a nephew that he is uncle to?
90. Dan is an uncle, too.
^^Haha. That's so true.
I'm confuzzled. Please to explain?

Hah, he does!!
I can see it now...
Teacher:" OK EVERYONE TODAY WE WILL BE LEARNING THE MOVE COMMONLY KNOWN AS AXE HANDS"
Student:"Will it hurt? "
and everyone can learn the dancing ways of OK Go. Maybe we can talk Trish into teaching classes there.
