From what I've seen (not much...), yeah. It's because Damian and Andy are more young-looking and therefore more attractive to the general populus (or something). Sigh.
p.s. Damian's cute face in the Get Over It video is what made me curious, I'll admit. I am ashamed. But the music is what kept me.
So, they got more camera time because they're cute... That is so shallow. I'm never watching that show again. Once is all I can take, anyway.
Can some one upload that NBC interview on to YouTube? It won't work on my computer for some reason.
"I'm the nervous actor. Um... line?" "Mary wants to meet at 6." "Mary wants..... line?" "Mary wants to meet us at 6." "Mary is gonna... line?" "He's really good at this."
That show is awful. Molly Sims needs to eat some food AND OK GO IS AMAZING! They were so cute, I had to force myself to look at screen though so I would know when they were on. I had no idea what was going on in the show.
They were everywhereeeee I love all the posters everywhere and the tvs in the background playing HIGA.
"I'm the nervous actor. Um... line?" "Mary wants to meet at 6." "Mary wants..... line?" "Mary wants to meet us at 6." "Mary is gonna... line?" "He's really good at this."
Hahahhaha
Hahaha, I loved that part! Ah, Andy how I heart thee.
I just watched it and here are my random thoughts/moments from Sheri Watches OK Go on Las Vegas:
- At the beginning, when HIGA came on, I got a little weepy momentarily. I know that's corny as hell; bite me. But really, it made me think back to the night J orge debuted the video to the board (before YouTube) and how awed we were ... I can't believe all the things that have happened to the guys since then. The VMAs, now the Grammys (?!) ... It's crazy to know they're big enough now to be guest stars on a stupid-ass show like this. And I mean that in the most heart-warming way. lol
- I was so excited when "Good Idea" started--my brain: "Woo! They're using other songs from the album!"--and then when "No Sign" cut into it I nearly convulsed myself off the couch.
- I screamed when Dan showed up onscreen during their first scene. Then when Tim popped on I screamed again. I think my arms were flailing when Andy and Damian appeared.
- I wonder if they met Judd Nelson and if they were jazzed about that at all, being of the Brat Pack generation (well, not Andy). Were I to be in the vicinity of Judd Nelson, I think I'd just keep appearing, saying, "Demented and sad ... but social" until he clubbed me with something ... Breakfast Club rocks
- Hearing them say lines was so hilarious. And Tim sounded soo corny. Which is hilarious to me considering he's the actor. So that shows good actors can't save bad writing.
- When Nikki Cox said, "Damian," on the phone, my internal reaction was, "Bitch!" LOL Wtf?! It's a fake person saying lines on a TV show! And what exactly was I upset about? And who am I to protect Damian from scantily clad women, real world or no? "Bitch! Whore! Stay away from him!" Please tell me someone else thought this ...
- When Dan said, "Hey, Mary ..." I had a heart-stopping moment of deja vu to "Hey, Sheri," at the W.
- Andy's treadmill demonstration: sweet.
-Vanessa Marcil's barefoot treadmilling: barf. And not just because I hate feet.
- Vanessa Marcil will always be Brenda from General Hospital to me. Brenda & Sonny, Brenda & Jax, Brenda's stupid fling with Miguel, Stone & Robin, Ned & Lois ... those were the days ...
- Putting the HIGA record over HIGA live was lame.
- I loved the Damian bit as the ending.
- That show sucks.
Does anybody know when they filmed it? Andy & Damian's outfits were VMAs era.
"I'm the nervous actor. Um... line?" "Mary wants to meet at 6." "Mary wants..... line?" "Mary wants to meet us at 6." "Mary is gonna... line?" "He's really good at this."
Hahahhaha
I was going to comment on that too!! That and the "I'm playing himself" part. Their sense of humour is so dry BUT I LOVE IT.

I agree with all of your random thoughts. No, really, all of them. I also got really sentimental when I saw them. Music and the people that make it have such a huge affect on me that I can't even explain. *violin music plays as a tear rolls down her cheek*

OH MY GOD YES!!!! As soon as she said his name into the phone I turned to my friend and said, "I hate that woman." I actually I had a similar experience when I met a guy at an Ok Go concert who was one of their roadies and chilled in their tour bus and stuff. He called Damian on the phone right in front of me and was like, "Hey dude, come down and meet these girls." I was fighting the urge to scream and start writhing on the sidewalk. Tragically, we had to leave before he or Tim came down, those slowpokes But I digress.... Yeah. That show sucks.
There is a difference between having it and flaunting it and being straight up sleezy. And they were straight up sleezy.
Oh, and I too thought "BITCH!" when that girl said Damian's name. I growled a little too, and tried putting a curse on her. Then, I realized two things. One, I can't do magic and two, she's just an actress and that was a line that a horrible writer wrote for her to horribly act out.
- I haven't seen that much cleavage since Hee Haw.
Haha...and so much shiny tan-ness.
And I really can't get over the fact that they mingled the lesbian kiss with such a good song as DWYW. How am I supposed to be watching this episode over and over with that kind of thing mixed in?
Oh, and I found another way they could have used a different song to go along with the scenes. When that tan brown-haired girl opened her white-stuff-infested car, they were playing "Invincible," which is the best choice, but they could've also played AMW.
I taped the show and watched it, and I think this quote from Damian sums it up for all of us: "It's kind of embarrassing and awesome at the same time." -- as quoted in an article found and posted by ihave7stars some weeks ago: http://okgo.forumsunlimited.com/index.php?...ost&p=90838
......which is why I was skeptical from the beginning.
Wonderful appearance by our boys. Horrible, HORRIBLE show and acting skills by everyone else.
It's not that I didn't trust the boys would be beautiful on camera, it was how they might have been portrayed or what was going on around them when they were not visible. While I am up for seeing OK Go wherever/whenever/however I can, having to sit through fifty minutes of a show like that made me vomit in my mouth just a bit. I really hope appearances such as this are kept to a minimum (i.e., no more prime time crap-ola).
...but I would gladly watch it again. Just for them. I like them that much to venture into the lion's den (i.e., NBC and its awful line-up).
Oh my God. Oh my God! Why didn't I think of this sooner??? They should have put "The House Wins" somewhere in that show!! DUH!! The show is about a CASINO for goodness sake!!!
