Ohh, gotcha. Spanish 3 was really hard for me, but Spanish 2 wasn't the easiest. Actually I forgot that year even existed. Woops. I think that was the year it started to get harder because of my teacher.
yeah well at my school spaish 2 is the hardest even the teachers said so you werent aloud to move up to spanish 2 unless you got a b+ or higher in spanish 1
Ok, I'm gonna post this in white because it's totally TMI, so if you don't wanna hear about my feminine problems, don't read it!!
But I have been on my period for 23 days now!!! It's crazy! Last month it was 13 days and I told my gynecologist because it was time for my yearly exam anyway, and he put me on birth control pills because that's supposed to even it out (and I wanted to get back on them anyway) So I had a false start which is odd for me. I spotted for like a day and then it stopped for 3. But I thought I'd started so I starting taking the pills like I was supposed to. Then when it stopped I kept taking them because I'd already started so I had to keep going right. Well a couple days later I started for real and it was a normal flow and everything, heavy at first and then it tapered off, but it just never quit and now it's been 23 days.
I feel terrible, I have absolutely no enegry, like walking across the street feels like running a marathon. So I called the gyno yesterday and they told me that since i'm near the end of the pack I need to just take the inactive pills like normal and have a period because I have to have a period. But I've had 3 I told her, she insists that I need to have a period since I'm at the end of the pack and that when I start the new one it should even out.
So pretty much feel like shit for another week and then we'll worry about it. I mean if there's nothing they can do then there's nothing they can do, but dammit that wasn't the answer I wanted to hear. It's affecting my work, it's affecting my home, it's affecting me and I want it to stop.

Ahhh!! That sucks, but I've been there, so I sympathise! That exact same thing happened to me when I was 13, except I'd be going for months and I'd only get a week's reprieve (and even then a break was rare). I had no idea it wasn't normal so I kind of went along with it, my mum didn't really say anything even though I'd be asking her to buy more pads every other week... didn't get anything done about it until a year or so after it started... anyways, I'd get really tired and everything would seem like a marathon, just like you've mentioned, and that's because of blood loss (obviously) -> anaemia. You don't have as much blood as you should, and red blood cells in the blood carry oxygen, so there's not enough oxygen getting anywhere, that's what is making you tired... makes you pale as a ghost and sucks the energy out of you. Take some iron supplements and eat lots of red meats and green veggies so your iron doesn't get too low It'll help with the exhaustion a bit... I was given bc pills as a treatment too, and the first one didn't quite work well so my doctor gave me another brand (I don't remember what it was called, but it started with an M) and it worked... I hope your gyno figures things out and you get this fixed And yeah, you have to have a period, or else you're at risk for developing freaky diseases or something... I think ovarian cancer is one of them and we all know that's no fun
That was the most rambly post I've ever written, sorry if it's hard to follow... I just woke up... xD
Oh, Miss Wolf, that really blows I'm sorry. I can't say I've ever had that problem myself, but I swear (blacked out to spare innocent/male eyes) my friend's uterus was designed to house a whole football team, judging by the way she bleeds! And Dani's advice is great - that's just what the doctors told my friend as well.
Hey, it was in response to a quite rambly post so it's ok.
Good Lord?? A whole year? 3 weeks of this and I"m crying on the phone with the doctor... Ok, I didn't cry on the phone, but I cried at my desk Wednesday! Yeah, I'm trying to do the iron thing. But it's hard, I don't have anything high iron and the grocery store is 5 million miles away (across the street).
I just don't get the "have to have a period" thing because I had one, i'm still having it, and i've been having it for 3 weeks!!! (I don't know how there's anything left in there!!) Then there's those pills that you only have one every 3 months and that's ok. And my cousin was under direction of her gyno to only take the active pills in the pack and have a period once a year. Her body of course had other ideas, but the gyno told her to do this, and that it's ok. So I didn't understand that.
Like I said, mostly I just didn't like the answer I got. I mean I guess they know best, but I don't like it. And I want to lay down right now
So sorry to hear your body's causing problems - I can imagine how scary it would be for me, and I hope being able to bring it up here was helpful. It sounds like once your body is able to regulate it's progesterone levels, you'll see a noted improvement. Iron should be helpful, and dry cereal is also a good source (leave out the milk, it will interfere with iron absorption). Best wishes.
Thanks guys. It does help to talk about it. I called in yeseterday I felt so bad and I was scared today I was gonna have a rash of "oh are you feeling better? What's wrong?" Not sure how to answer that one, but fortunately it hasn't come up.
Sprocket I didn't know that about cereal and milk. I do eat cereal in the morning, but I put soy milk on it. Does soy have the same iron inhibiting properties?
My great aunt had it so much worse. She had hers for over a year, and it was so heavy that when she'd go grocery shopping, she'd have to cover the car seat was a bunch of towells, and the people in the grocery store must have thought somebody stabbed her. I think she finally gave up and got a hysterectomy. At least you aren't that bad!
God that is awful!!! Yikes!! Yeah, it has been fairly light so I got that going for me. And other than the fatigue I feel ok. I'm not crampy or bloaty or anything. I never get those PMS symptoms really bad (I never bleed for 3 weeks either), but yeah, I'm glad I don't have that too.

What part are you doing? I always thought Spanish was pretty easy until last year, oh boy was it hard.
...I think that's how you spell it. It's a Glencoe book.

I usually don't drink soda. Maybe once every 2 or 3 months, (and Monday was one of those days) but I'm really craving it right now.

Again, Good luck!
