I was listening to Poe's "House of Leaves."

I listened to half of it, heard the roar, and got so frightened that I had to stop and call my boyfriend and told him to tell me a good story.

I don't think it would be so bad if I hadn't read, House of Leaves.

Well, it's so terrifying for me because it connects to the book. The house described in the book has a hallway that keeps getting larger while the outside of the house stays the same. While exploring the hallway, they hear this roar... presumably the roar in the song.

I can't even describe it. It's terrifying in a way that it shouldn't be.

^^ I have the same problem where I feel I have to prove myself to people. It stinks cause sometimes you realize you're a cool person, then other times you feel you have to prove it to people, and that's a total waste of time. Oh, and just so you know, if his friends don't like you, there's something severely wrong w/ them because you are amazing and I totally envy your adventures, tonetoile.
