I was going to an OK Go show that night, and my friends got mad at me for some reason, so I agreed to organize a concert just for us. And somehow, this band who were an OK Go tribute band got in touch with me and offered to play for me and my friends, so I agreed, and we decided that they would come to my house so that I could show them where to set up and stuff.
So they arrived and I got them drinks and introduced myself etc, and then it suddenly occurred to me how much they looked like the real OK Go. So I mentioned this to tribute-Damian, who also answered to the name Damian and didn't offer an alternative name, and he just laughed and said thanks.
Anyways I watched the concert that I'd organized for my friends, and then had to rush to catch a flight to see the real OK Go play, and then I saw the tribute band on the plane with me. So we were chatting and it turned out they were the real OK Go, pretending to be a tribute band of themselves. Surreal stuff.
So all in all I saw OK Go twice, they hung out in my house with me and sat with me on a 9 hour flight to somewhere in the states where I could see them perform. I've been in a good mood all day thanks to this.
