Voxtrot. Check them out. I recently discovered them through IndieFeed (yeah podcasts). "The Start of Something" is obscenely good on so many levels of awesome.
Aw you shot down SK6ER. They're like the best five performers eveerrrrr. And Matt Nathanson, who is like the funniest musician everrrr.
Except those have little to do with CDs...
And I missed this, and I'm going to answer anyway.

is joey anywhere near gavins level? ive heard nothing from joey in england'land
what are the other 3 bands/guys like? the same as joey/gavin/JJ?
I think Joey is better. He's the most real musician I've ever met. He's turned down a bunch of record deals. He's indie, and he plays music because he loves it. Not because he wants to be on MTV.
The rest are around the same genre but I don't think they're close to the same.
Like I said, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers are probably the best live performers ever. They're probably also the sweetest people ever.
Michael Tolcher writes amazing lyrics. Most of the stuff I'd suggest wouldn't be on CDs. Promises Break, Here It Comes Again, As Much As We Know.
You need to get Secret Dakota Ring, DraculaZombieUSA, and both Unsacred Hearts albums. The lead singer of Unsacred Hearts sounds a lot like Mic Jagger, it's pretty swell.
Scot Stapp ~ The Great Divide Secret Dakota Ring ~ Do Not Leave Baggage all the way Simple Plan ~ No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls Skate to Hell ~ Skate to Hell
beulah - when your heartstrings break the lucksmiths - warmer corners mirah - you think it's like this... tullycraft - disenchanted hearts unite the kinks - village green preservation society love is all - nine times that same song sondre lerche - duper sessions
...those are a few of the ones i'm listening to at the moment, and i strongly recommend them if you like happy music.
The Boy Least Likely To - The Best Party Ever They are phenomenal in myyy opinion. Gahhh. and The Cloud Room - s/t They're even more phenomal And Mando Diao (anything by them, I suggest Hurricane Bar)... they're from Sweden (obviously they deliver good music there)... and yes. GO NOW. Or not. Whatever. You should though.

I love it out of loyalty and everything, but they're not really worth your money. TBA and Pinkerton are the classics. After those, they took a six-year break and have been pretty weak ever since. Here's all of them, though..
Weezer (The Blue Album) [Buddy Holly, Undone - The Sweater Song, Say It Ain't So] Pinkerton [El Scorcho] Weezer (The Green Album) [Hash Pipe, Island In The Sun] Maladroit [Keep Fishin', Dope Nose] Make Believe [Beverly Hills, We Are All On Drugs, Perfect Situation] P.S. You really should check out Ben Folds Five. Download "Song For The Dumped" and just see how you like it. It's not *that* much like their other stuff, but it's all sort of piano rock.
Wasn't "The Good Life" also a single? I know there is a video for it.
Yeah, and Pink Triangle, but I just threw in ones people may have heard of so they could get an idea of what the albums sound like. Points for knowing that, though.
