You're a poet and didn't even know it!

Question: if Black Snake Moan worth seeing? Christina Ricci kind of frightens the bejeezus out of me

I saw half of Amelie last night (I was tired so I went to bed before it finished...)
It was hilarious!! I was hysterical.
And you have the plus of finding out the french word for "orgasm", which is always fun...
    Lol.

I do like listening to french smile.gif

omg amelie is such an amazing movie
and yeah i love watching it in french.. with any movie when you dub it over it just kills it.
i was supposed to go watch the namesake tonight but then my friend killed the plan ugh im so mad.
  • I went out to see TMNT today, but as it's a "kids" film it had crazy times, so we ended up seeing 300 instead.

    8/10

I'm still in awe of the fact that they made up for the complete and utter lack of plot with the best fight scenes EVAR!
  • I have to see this ASAP

I love Amelie. It's such a good movie. I just really like that bit at the beginning that's just a montage of her as kid playing little kid games like jacks and stuff.
  • I'm only wanting to see Grindhouse for the Robert Rodriguez part.

Oh I'm the exact opposite; I just want to see Death Proof (even though, in terms of Tarantino's movies, I really only liked Kill Bill. Resevoir Dogs put me to sleep and then I woke up right when someone's ear was being cut off... and I haven't seen Pulp Fiction because I am a disgrace to pop movie culture. Yeahyeah).

I would agree with you, but Pulp Fiction happens to be quite good....

There's this Tarantino movie called "Hostel".
Never watch it. It's awful. The plot is like an afterthought to the violence. Truly disgusting.

It's basically about a hostel in some eastern european country where rich people pay to torture americans (coz they all hate americans). In really gruesome ways. And you have to watch it all. Absolute crap.

    chkl...yeah, hostel was pretty gross.
there were some sex parts that the movie could have just done w/out.

i thought it was average, not good, but not awful

the most horrible "scary" movie ever was house of 1000 corpses...SHIT!
  • A Clockwork Orange is on British TV now!!
    YAY!!! biggrin.gif

See, my love for Alex got me into OK Go. Damian looks a little bit like him
    *sigh*....
  • i saw the Reaping this weekend, it was alright.

hahaha that's an incredible comparison. I somehow doubt Damian would want to look like crazy Alex, but that is a really sweet movie.

I think I heard that the Hills Have Eyes was really scary, but I don't watch any new scary movies. I like the campy old ones like Friday the 13th and similar stuff, though I thought 28 Days Later with Cillian Murphy was awesome.

Ah, but while I agree with you in principle, there is something about the crazy, creepy, WONDERFUL Alex that is really quite hot... And can't you see it? Just sometimes, they look alike. Especially in the GOI vid. Haha smile.gif

    28 Days Later is brilliant!!

And have we got any Monty Python fans here? Life of Brian is one of my fave movies ever...
  • I'm not one to usually overly promote movies, but holy bejeezus, Grindhouse may be one of the best films ever created. It's everything you want: gory, funny, there are ZOMBIES, and it's all completely tounge-in-cheek.

I usually would say to wait for something to come out on DVD, but since this is a double feature, it's MEANT to be seen in the theatres, with an audience all cackling and cringing together. Plus, it's almost worth it just to see the fake trailers (done by the likes of Rob Zombie). Oh my god, it's just a perfect film.

Also, the song on the end titles, "Chick Factor" by April March is completely fantastic.

It's like the best roller coaster ever.
  • I saw Serenity last night, after finally watching the complete season of Firefly. I've only got four words to describe how I'm feeling at the moment.

    I NEED MORE FIREFLY
  • Children Of Men - 9/10
    Casino Royale - 9/10
    Spiderman 3 - 10/10
    28 Days Later - 9/10
  • i saw 28 weeks later on sunday and it was AWESOME. there is more gore in the first ten minutes of 28 weeks later than the entire duration of 28 days later. i still love 28 days later more for the romance but 28 Weeks later is just like, the ultimate 'zombie' movie.
  • I want to see that movie, I saw 28 Days Later when it came out *gotta love Cillian Murphy baby!!**they keep airing the movie on HBO and Stars so I watch it whenever I cany* and loved it, so I'm really excited to watch 28 Weeks Later this Saturday!!!

Movies that I've recently seen, Happy Feet, The Pursuit of Happyness, Spider Man 3 *made me cry*

Oh and everyone has to watch "Mirrormask", that movie is brilliant good!! I saw it a few months ago on the Sundance channel and fell in love with it.
