    My mom doesn't like Damian. She said something really funny to me and Kikky when we were driving to Dallas: "You can tell that Damian is really immature, that's why he and Andy get along so well. It says something about him when he hangs out with the youngest and newest member of the band, Andy is so naive."

    My mom was turned off about how put-upon Andy acted when Kikky forced him off the bus. Trust me, he acted like a douche. Then my mom didn't like how cocky Damian was. Of course, she had been talking to tim and dan before, so everyone else seems more like a jerk after talking to the 2 nicest guys in the world. Then we started talking about how dan called damian a jerk, and how andy left the band, and that lead up to what she said. My mom's a smart lady, she also cooler than any other mom in the world.

    Now, of course, I need to know the details of this conversation regarding Dan, Damian, old-Andy .............

    P.S. I wasn't there, but I'd be a little irked being forced off a bus, depending on the hour & the situation ...

    You know, sometimes I feel like I'm Damian's mom: "Leave my sweet boy alone!" Now here I am starting up with Andy, too.

    IDK, I think you just had to be there. I mean, come on, we all know that Damian can be really arrogant, and it comes off when you're talking to him. He just never seems genuine. The convo we had was really long because it's a 3 hour drive from Dallas to Austin, so IDK, you're just going to have to trust me (or not).

    So ... details on Dan calling Damian a jerk? And is there a trustable bad-blood story about Andy leaving the band, or just crazy rumors started by people who think Damian's a jerk and had something to do with it?

    I don't know if there's bad blood about Andy leaving the band anymore because he was present at Damian's wedding. Also, ask Katy about Dan calling Damian a jerk.

    Getting back to the subject of Hinder and OK Go, there is a story in today's Arizona Republic newspaper:

    Most modern rock, [Cody] Hanson [co-founder and drummer] contends, "is totally boring; everybody seems so dark and depressed and unhappy."

    Hanson adds that he wouldn't want Hinder grouped with newer bands like Thursday or OK Go because "if you listen to the songs put out by these bands, they're not melodic, they don't groove, you can't bob your head to them and the lyrics are awful."

    The guys of Hinder must not have ears. I find their music much less melodic than OK Go's since Hinder is more of the traditional rock genre and not pop/rock. They remind me of Pearl Jam -- and I'm not a PJ fan in the least bit. And I think the whole concept of the "Cat Fight" pictures and scantily dressed women in videos are immature, overplayed and cliched.

    I'm a member of the Maroon 5 board and we were discussing something similar to this when the topic came up about what Hinder said and this is what was said about them (Hinder)

    Even before they started bashing OK Go, I didn't like them. They're song is soooo dumb and overplayed. If they really want to be rock n' roll, than they shouldn't be being played on vh1, the sissy rock station. Well, we all know that when Hinder's one hit is gone, OK Go will still be around.

    Um. I had a dream about this last night, it was fucking weird.

    I was in OK Go and was the only member of the band fighting back so we had this big war in the press. Then we showed up at this award show and they were supposed to perform, so they got onstage and said "This is for OK Go." and they had written a mean song about us. Then I told Rolling Stone magazine that we thought that was creepy and so the lead singer ended up going into anger management.
