Then again, the opposite is fairly embarrassing too. I mean, acting like you've known them for ages, when you've only just met them. The first time I met Tim, I left thinking "what the fuck was I doing flirting with him?? Am I actually insane....?".
When I met Tori Amos I could barely speak. I had about 8 gadjillion things I wanted to say to her, but all I could say was "You changed my life!" for which she gave me a hug. Then I stood there and looked at her, dumbfounded, until she asked me if the people I was with were my friends, so I introduced them. We posed for a picture, she signed the picture, and we were ushered out of the room.
I spent a good 20 minutes after that crying on the sidewalk.

I will definitely take all of this into consideration and try my utmost not to freak the guys out/mob them. Haha! No, I'm definitely going to be all cool, calm and collected, and even if I don't get a picture with the awesome Tim, I'll be okay with that.

Promoters of the upcoming OK Go tour have announced that due to scheduling issues the band will not be playing their show at Fowlers Live on August 5th. No other information is available at this time.
Punters who have already bought tickets can get a full refund from Venuetix in Da Costa Arcade.

that really sucks for the people in adelaide, my parents were seriously considering sending me down there for the night cuz it was all ages, but then it is adelaide so we changed plans

Which makes me super mad because as I've said many times before, I MISSED OUT ON SPLENDOUR TIX! And now OK Go are (possibly, nothing's certain until the second line up is announced) gonna be there, and I'm gonna miss out on their crazy music festival-ly goodness!
Which brings me to this question for all you more experienced OK Go-ers out there - which venue do you prefer the band at: small indie rock clubs or giant music festivals?
I sorta hope they don't do Splendour, for my sake. lol I already have major envy of people going to Splendour and this is just going to make it worse =[ Although i think seeing OK Go in particular would be better at an intimate venue cuz then everyone is there for them and not whatever band is playing later.
I have my tickets for Sydney and yup it's 18+ BOO! but im still going.... somehow. The venue is gorgeous! it seems very fitting for our boys. It's all swanky and hip and well dressed
Clubs. CLUBS. I've never seen them at a festival, but I've seen them play large venues twice and I can't say I had a good time either time. I think the reason for this is best described by Sally (Tabetha) in her review of Saturday's show with The Fray - there just aren't enough fans at these big shows, and the guys clearly feel it. Plus the people who *are* fans have to fight through the social pressure of sitting with everyone else to stand, dance, and have a good time if they want to (and it's not easy to do, I just did it yesterday and it Suuuuucked.) But I love those boys and I will plop down all the coin necessary to see them every time, no matter where they play. But Good Heavens do I hate the Tweeter Center.
