ARGH I am so with you on that one. It's utterly terrifying. How many can you apply to? In Britain, you can apply to five, unless you're doing medicine (typical!) when you can only apply to four. Sucks.
AND I bet I won't find my own Rufus buddy. What's a girl to do?
same here!! plus, i did horrible in 11th grade. ahh, it was probably this board so much procrastination.

wow, only four?! that really sucks. i'm applying to 10 or 15. it's kind of sick, haha.
Woah, Vinnie, 15? Haven't you got a limit at all then?
Actually, I applied to a medical school in Prague as well, and as it's not British it isn't counted on our application thingy. So I'm applying to one more than usual, wooo!
^^ haha, I'm applying all over the country. Oh, and no, there's no limit. applications get kind of expensive though and you have to send you test scores to all the schools which is more money.
ooo Prague...I'm sure you'll get into all five, hehe. You're so smart, don't worry about it *hugs*
here, most applications are 50-80 dollars - the private schools usually cost the most. it's kind of easy to get fee waivers though - 'i forgot a zero on my dad's annual income, whoops' hehe

Awww, Vinnie, you're so sweet!!
You guys have to pay??
I think I have to pay £30 to the admissions center overall, which covers all 5 applications. And an extra £20 to apply to Cambridge because it's the British equivalent of an Ivy League school. But that's it.. I can't believe you have to pay to apply, that seems really unfair...
Dude, that is so odd that you guys have a limit on the number of schools you can apply too. But I suppose there are only so many universities in the UK.. but still, are they all controlled by some sort of board or something? Like here there are public school systems in each state (like with the UC system (stands for univ. of cali.) there are like eight different UCs (UC san diego, UC los angeles, etc) and they all have the same application, but you still have to pay for each school its sent too, and then on top of that there are private schools. Anyway whatever, GOOD LUCK GUYS!!
-Not living with the people you wanted to because you got screwed over by housing, and instead living with three people that are already good friends and seeing apartments with groups of friends living together in them and wishing you were in the same scenario.

Yeah, all applications are controlled by a board called UCAS, so you fill in a bunch of forms, write a personal statement/essay and pay a fixed price, and the same thing gets sent out to all of your choices. If you apply to Oxford or Cambridge, the Ivy League-esque ones (and you can only apply to one of them, not both) then you have to fill in extra forms and have an interview and possibly extra exams. If you do medicine you have extra exams and an interview anyway. It's all just fucked
i applied to about... 6 schools. and the one i actually WANTED to go to, and the one i ended up at, wait-listed me...haha. i'm mad b/c i wasted close to $200 on applying to the other 5 schools i got into no problem... but go figure.
however... good luck you all you my lovelies!! i'm in my 4th year at MSU and i am STILL trying to figure out exactly what i want to do!
Within an hour of being home (a place I never wanted to return too) I was in the car, bawling my eyes out on the way to a friends house.
I don't know how well I'm going to cope with being back here but i'm going to work my arse off so I can be out of here again within the next year. This time I just won't make the mistake of helping someone else, and thus getting my own life screwed up.
I will never help, trust or concern myself with other people ever again. People suck. They always let you down.

I agree with all of you. All this college stuff is so annoying! And I have no idea where I want to go, or what I want to do. O man, I'm nervous!
Anyway whatever, GOOD LUCK GUYS!!
