oh finally the secret is revealed, Susi... i say, I think it's a prettier name for a girl than mayonaise, you know, one isn't remembered of hot dog stands with the word "susi".

To add my two cents to the discussion, everybody calls me Rosa, I believe it would be a bit too long for everybody to remember if I always introduced myself as Rosamelia.

It makes perfect sense...
I only get called Katherine when I'm in trouble, or brand new teachers are calling role. It's a pretty, Irish name, but I always just associate it with trouble, so I hate being called Katherine. And growing up, a lot of the time I'd be called Kate, which I really REALLY do not like. It's not me AT. ALL. My aunts, uncles and cousins all call me Kate. Sometimes my Gma does... my old babysitter does sometimes. It's not that I don't like that name, it's just NOT fitting for me... Katie is where it's at


and, my mom's name is Susan... most people call her Sue, relatives call her Susie. Haha I just call her mom, though.

I have an uncle who used to call me "Uncle Rachel". I think it's because he wasn't really ready to be someone's uncle when I was born. But I thought he was just being silly, so when I was a kid I called him "Niece Richard." I was so very clever.

I've been Rachel most of my life, except when I was in High School I went through this very low self-esteem period where I thought I could change my life by changing my name. So I went by Rae for about 3 years. It was silly. Some people still call me Rae, and I still answer, but I always introduce myself as Rachel.

AAAAA! Rosamelia! That is absolutely gorgeous! I absolutely love it! Would you mind if I called you that? It's soooo pretty!
I wish I had a beautiful name like that. I've always loved the name Cordelia. I also love Persephone, Hestia and Thalia.
There's only 1 boy name that I like: Adam. I don't know why, but it's the only boy name that sounds beautiful. "Greg," "John"- ugh, those sort of names just don't resonate beauty. I used to like Alexander, but I think that's only because I loved Alexander the Great, so I'm not sure anymore if it holds its own as a pretty sound.

Anyway, I looove Rosamelia.

Hmm, I've always favored Andy. And yes, this was before bliss in silver pants. I don't know why, but I've always liked the name. It could also be because every Andy/Andrew I've ever known have been super-awesome people.

Edit: Ok, so maybe I like it a little bit. I just found my old middle school friend and my gay ex-husband from high school. As well as a pic of my twerpy ape-like cousin next to one of the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl. Lol, my cousin is so short in comparison to the football player.
