HAHAHAHA. I went last night with two friends and my bf.

It was so over the top and wonderful. The best part was everyone's commentary throughout the entire movie. ("THERE ARE SNAKES IN THERE GODDAMNIT." "WHEN SAMUEL TELLS YOU TO SHUT THE FUCK UP, SHUT THE FUCK UP.") It's so much better when everyone laughs after each snake attack. It's impossible to take seriously and it's wonderful.

EVERYONE MUST SEE IT FOR THE GOOD OF MANKIND. Or, at least your own entertainment.
  • I just remembered how much I loved when the lights went out on the plane and some guy waay in the background was like "...it's the snaaaakes!"

Oh my god, I remember that. My friends and I just looked at eachother and laughed.

Some of the lines in that movie are just.... so profound.
  • i saw Tristam Shandy : A Cock and Bull Story last night. absolutely hilarious.
  • i just watched "Serenity" last night. I liked it a LOT.
my favorite character died, but that happens a lot.
some of it was predictable, but not the most important parts.

that's all I can think of.

The movie? That was actually a really good tv show also, they were really funny.

umm, I watched "Beauty and the Beast" and "Anastasia" the other day. Best musical cartoon movies ever.
  • my personal favorite part of Snakes was when the lady sitting next to me yelled, "oh my fuck! it bit her nipple off!"
  • I just saw 'Ladies in Lavender' which was awesome, and reminded me how impressive Dame Judy Dench, Dame Maggie Smith and Daniel Bruhl are. Although the Dames have far more experience and talent than Daniel, he definitely held his own.

Two live diamondback rattlesnakes were released in an Arizona movie theater during a showing of the new film "Snakes on a Plane," according to Local 6 News.

Authorities said pranksters released the young venomous rattlesnakes in a dark theater at the AMC Desert Ridge near Tatum and Loop 101 in Phoenix. The two snakes caused a panic in the dark theater, according to the report. "That to me is very scary," herpetological association representative Tom Whiting said. "I would hate to be watching a movie about snakes and have a rattlesnake bite me."

Wranglers were called to collect the snakes, the report said. No one was injured in the incident and, so far, the culprits have not been caught. Officials believe the snakes were smuggled into the theater in backpacks.

"This thing is under someone's chair and they go to sit and they just push your foot in the air and startle it -- obviously all they got to do is startle this thing," Phoenix Herpetological Society spokesman Daniel Marchand said. "It's dark. They can't see you, you know that well. If it's scared, boom it strikes."

The snakes were released into the desert.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry. I know it's horrible to laugh, but I find that darkly funny.....

Watch. Now there's going to be a government-issued ban on bags in movie theatres........
  • I've seen a lot of movies this summer.

    Pirates 2
    You, Me and Dupree
    The Lake House (partially)
    The Descent
    The Ant-Bully
    Superman Returns
    Clerks 2

All of the movies were good, surprisingly. I didn't expect The Descent to be good because it was made by the people who made Hostel, and I figured it would be another Myspace porno, but instead of being set in Eastern Europe, it would be set in North Carolina. Honestly, I just went to go laugh at it, like my two other friends and I always do. but it was good. I didn't know Bat Boy was in it.

Clerks 2 is amazing, I suggest seeing that.

and as for movies I didn't see in theatres . . . GO WATCH RENT. NOW.

Sweet and Lowdown was really good, too. It's a Woody Allen film and Sean Penn and Uma Thurman are in it.

But . . . GO WATCH RENT. IT WILL AMAZE YOU.
