I feel the same way about Claire's! It's a bit overwhelming. We were only there to look for jewelry to go with my friend's homecoming dress. Unfortunately, we didn't find any. At least I found an awesome hat and rings.
Is it just me or does it always seem cramped in there. Like nobody could be in there but yet they have so many like spinny things like you can't take a step without knocking somthing over.
LOL i'm scared of Claires too. too...much...pink...blinded...by...pink...

YKYOW....You go to a funky coffee shop and the guy working the counter doesn't look like Damian, but acts just like him, very bubbly and perky. You tell him that he reminds you of the lead singer of Ok Go and he knows exactly who you are talking about and freaks out with happiness. Then he gives you two coffees for the price of one. Yes, twas an awesome afternoon.
That's awesome, Tempe! And also, it reminds me of something. I've deemed a kid at school the local Andy boy. He doesn't really look like him, but the first time I heard him talk, he sounded exactly like Rusty. It was bizarre.

No way. That guy's totally gay. (And I mean that in a matter of fact way, not "gay" as in synonym for "stupid," which I never ever ever never do)

Although, the guy *might* have a girlfriend who's in love with Damian too. In which case that would be a very high compliment, you know? Like if you walked up to Adam and said "Wow, Adam, you're quite Kulashi today" I think he'd be pretty happy. Then he'd run over to me and say "See? *They* think I'm Kulashi". And then I'd call him a doofus and give him a hug and a kiss.
But I digress.
I actually was part of the inspiration for Torrid, or at least I like to think I was. When I was in High School I LOVED Hot Topic (yes, everyone, Rachel was a wannabe goth at one point) but I could only barely fit into the clothes. I went up to a district manager who happened to be visiting the store and told her that she needed to make clothes in larger sizes, and then a few weeks later she showed me the mock-ups for Torrid. They never opened one in Danbury though, so I don't know what was up with that.
/ridiculous tangential Rachel Story.
I saw the red jeans at Old Navy Friday night and really thought about it for a minute.
YKYOW...you see a red pair of jeans at Vanity and one girl trys them on and says how rediculious are these pants there so ugly and you speak up and say some smart-ass comment like, "I really like them, maybe you just can't pull them off like Damian can."
YKYOW...you recognize venues in photos despite the very few visual cues. This, for example, is from Fountain Square last year (posted by tapegrl in the photos and stuff thread).

Eh, I don't know about Adam, but I think maybe that would make most guys (probably rightfully) pissy. Like, "Oh my God, I can't believe I'm hearing that asshole's name AGAIN ..." So I stick with the gay theory lol
Ah, I'm sure it's possible the guy's just a fan who admires him and thinks it's hella-cool he reminded someone of him. This is certainly possible. Yep, it's possible. Sure ... No, seriously, of course it's possible. I'm being an asshole.
(Btw, way to go starting a store, Rachel )

I will not say anything here about Damian pulling off (my) red pants.
Tallies a point on Suzanne's admirably clear naughty scorecard

I have to admit, sureeyes, that takes skills. i'm jealous. LOL
YKYOW: your orchestra teacher tells you to say a three-syllable word or phrase in your head while you play triplets so you spend the rest of next minute repeating "Ok Go".

YKYOW you have to make a comic in your Italian class telling what your character did over the weekend and you write "Ho cantato con OK Go" ("I sang with OK Go"). I was very fond of my little stick figure boys. Tim made me laugh especially.

YKYOW: you see the word "metallurgy" in your textbook and you start giggling to yourself.
