I've become obsessed with that Decemberist album and that song... Ah I'm so late...
I love how all thier songs are like old school ballads.
The Barrow Boy gets me every time.

Try and see them live if you can; I loved them already, but the show made me love them so much more.
except i cant listen to them for too long because the guy's voice starts to bother me..
i really want to go to the coachella festival since they're playing on one of the days, but then i also want to see some other acts on other days.. so i cant decide!!! aahhh
on another random musical note, i really like this new kaiser chiefs song "ruby" but unfortunately the US is retarded when it comes to music and the album isnt gonna be released til like march or april or something..

The thing about seeing the Decemberists live is that, when I saw them, they took over everything. They were playing a lot of songs from The Crane Wife, which made me a little miffed at first since it's not my favorite CD of their lot (I prefer Picaresque or Castaways and Cutouts). However, I quickly changed my mind when, after hearing them play, I realized how their new songs are just as amazing and full of life as their old ones. Everyone sang along, becoming a huge chanting mass during Sons and Daughters, stomped during The Island, and we had a shouting battle during the chorus of 16 Military Wives.
It was amazing and whenever I listen to the CDs now, I just remember how beautiful the show was. I know I'm being trite, but I completely mean it.
I don't know if it would be the same during a festival, but I have a feeling it would still be amazing.
You'll have fun at the festival no matter which way.
