Definitely!! I'd propose coming with me to see They Might be Giants in July, but it would be quite a trip for you. We should find a good show in the city (as there are many).

I am a complete dork (not just sometimes, but I'd go so far as to say always). I tried to organize a spelling bee party, but my friends were mostly impartial to watching kids spell. Haha, I don't blame them. I'm getting gelatto and watching it anyway.

My school makes upper classmen be mentors to people in the younger class. I am a mentor, and my younger classmate is my mentee. I had so much fun today weirding out my mentee. He needed to have impressions taken of himself. I forced him to spit out his gum and give it to me to throw away. I even had the nerve to help him get cleaned up afterward by spitting into a paper towel and wiping his face for him. Ah, I am having so much fun playing w/ the younger class's heads.

Lol, well, it wasn't really mean only because my mentee knows I'm totally insane. It was just my way of showing my love. My mentor above me and my mentee below me are both boys. I treat them like they're my brothers. I call my mentor "master" because he is my upper classman and courtsey when he walks by.

I call my mentor "Grand Master Wes." I am "Tequila Rose." And my mentee is "Casino J." We're one big happy family

So I am officially finished with my junior year of college.

Um. It's sort of...well, actually, it is really fucking surreal. It feels weird, like it's not finished, but then again, I'm not leaving Paris until July, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I also think it has to do with the fact that it doesn't feel like JUNE OMG HOW IS IT JUNE becacuse the weather here has been really cold this week. (Like, wearing my light winter coat or my Kulashesque plaid coat cold.) But today is nice out.

Is it just me (or my town), but are all the people who work at FYE 14-year-old faux-punk boys?

Seriously. Every single one of them had a piercing and scruffy hair and was 2-3 inches shorter than me.

Don't get me wrong, they're adorable. The kid who was helping me was super sweet and giggled when I said "fuck."

P.S. I was getting Battles' new CD "Mirrored" and it is more than I could ever want. It's fucking brilliant (I fell in love with the song "Atlas," but this intro "Race: In" almost [almost]puts it to shame).

Maybe they weren't punk, so much as pop emo? Is that a better label? I don't know, they shop at Hot Topic and I don't know what that makes them except the opposite of a "true" punk. Blah blah blah labels.

P.S. After about 3 months of drinking soy milk and eating healthy things... I caved in and now I'm eatinf coco puffs. Oh my god they are amazing.
