i don't know what's wrong with me... i neglect all my favorite threads in this forum, and then i have no idea what's going on... since i sit at work and waste away doing nothing... i'm catching up today, for real. aaaand, all i got was juniper's coffee boy is gone, and the dami look alike grabbed her head.
tragic, and randomly hilarious. BUT... random grabbing (non-perverse) is a good sign... i think.
omg there is this kid who is a senior and hes in my world civ class and he has dan konopka eyes and he was in my group and like everytime he talked or i talked me like locked eyes the whole Time! it was amazing
why are all the cute/mentally healthy guys taken????
That is a fantastic question.
So. Homecoming isn't until October, but my friend and I are already going dress shopping next weekend. I'm going even if nobody asks me, but I really hope someone does. I mean, come ON. A girl can only go so many years without an invite, you know? So yeah, send me some good "get asked to Homecoming" vibes please.

I am here to tell you that they are not all taken! Some are drifting around. It's just a matter of weeding through the others. Trust me, it's worth it. Not to mention that you're fantastic. You'll find a great guy eventually, it just takes time (trust me, I know).
I know I love my boyfriend, but sometimes he does things that stand out above the other reasons for my affection. He came up to visit the other day, knowing that I have bed bugs. After an afternoon of modern art and eating french fries at Frites Alors! he set to work propping my bed up on cans of canned corn wrapped in duct tape (they can't cross sticky surfaces). I have a weird sense of romance. He would run around between turns as we played Scrabble, working out what would fit under my bed and researching when I was feeling too stressed to look at any more pictures of bed bugs. I can really only hope to be as kind to him as he is to me.
I've decided that David's Bridal is my new favorite store. That's where my sister's getting her wedding dress and I'm getting my bridesmaid's dress, homecoming dress, and probably prom dress.

Sending glorious vibes your way, my dear!! What year are you, if you don't mind me asking? I only technically got asked my sophomore year, by my ex boyfriend, and i had a KILLER dress that year... i didn't go my senior year b/c i really don't like those kinds of dances... but i'm sure you'll get asked. who could pass you up??

And... I found out a boy in a band has a crush on ME? or... rather, he saw me from afar and told my friend he thought i was cute? we have yet to meet aaaand. the tables have been turned. i am usually the one with the crush on a band member... this could be fun

this could be very fun lucky!!!
i'm sending vibes too krista! haha, you're going to have so many requests, you won't know what to do with them all!
krista i like your dress!!! its cute and flirty yet still elegant - awesome!! and i hope you get asked out.. i'm thinking dances are generally more fun with dates, unless you're going in a group of girls... trust me i went to prom (my only dance i ever went to) alone and it sucked and i cried the next day for hours.. lets not get me started on that i still regret it.
katieeee i'm excited for this boy! keep us updated!
and amy, its stories like yours that allow me to stay hopeful that there's someone out there for me.

You will. There's no doubt in my mind.
Also, remember that being in a relationship isn't the most important thing in the world. That was a difficult lesson for me to learn. I was in a rather sucky relationship for 2 years partially because I was too nervous to break up and I didn't want to be alone. When I did FINALLY break up with the kid, I was so much happier. I actually got the chance to learn how to at least try and be happier with who I am (I'm still super self-conscious, but the time alone helped so much).
I think what matters more is the system of friends and other loved ones around you, moreso than a relationship.
I honestly don't know heads or tails about relationships. I'm just long-term lucky.

it's really sweet your relationship with your boyfriend! never thought of a date that involved seraching/catching bed bugs, it's truly original

The short answer here is: absolutely nothing. The mentally stable and cute guys are out there. Somewhere. When you find them, you give me a call yes?
Hee, that sounds so awesome Katie! Methinks you should pursue the matter further.

^awh, so'm I.... and I've never even had a boyfriend. but that's more because I'm really not willing to settle for the type that usually asks me out. =P I'm not desperate enough for that. well no, there's really only been a couple really icky boys who've asked me out, and then once I got cold feet, and then another time he got cold feet (slash turned out to be icky anyways). but still.
onto happier thoughts, I'm sure someone will ask you to the dance! or you'll find someone at least, you don't always have to be asked ya know.

I think little miss pogostick (well put krista!) has officially worn out her welcome *cracks knuckles*
naw, i'll do it the nice way. as they say, i'm going to keep my enemy close so i can learn and foil her plans!!

The last bit... made me laugh. So much that I said it out loud...
But really, screw this pogostick loser and go after him. Who cares if she always gets her way? It's time for YOU to get YOUR way
