I hate George Steinbrenner. Don Mattingly is leaving the Yankees, and it's all Steinbrenner's fault.

Here were the two Good choices, Georgie:
1) Don't fire (or threaten to fire) Torre, keep Mattingly as bench coach.
2) After losing Torre due to own stupidity, offer MATTINGLY the managerial slot.

no offense to you rach, or the yanks, but a little birdie told me we might be getting a.rod this year... and while i'm all about strengthening up our defense... the last thing we need is another huge name... another rodriguez for that matter... AND, he's a 3B and i LOOOOVE, absolutely ADORE our 3B, Brandon Inge right now. Guillen, one of the most amazing short stops EVER is getting bumped to 1B, because he's fucking awesome at that too BUT... we lost our original 1B, and the last thing I need is too many drastic changes in my lineup...

i know he's a free-agent, and i think we might lose our CF, Curtis Granderson (who I'm in love with too) who really helped turn around the team with Pudge. hi, he had 20 triples, 20 doubles, 20 homers and 20 stolen bases... i'd prefer not to lose him either.

A-Rod's dead to me now, so no offense taken. I didn't want him when he joined the team anyway - we lost Alfonso Soriano because of him.

No, he isn't. A-Rod is a SS who played 3B because we already had an SS - Jeter - a move which many critics considered foolish as it's widely agreed that A-Rod plays SS better than Jeter does. But Jeter is our Golden Boy and our Captain, and he just plain wins. That never really seemed to sit well with Alex. So good riddance to him and his gigantic ego.

ah shit. now i feel like an ass... I coulda swore he was a permanent 3B... either way, I think we've got our SS covered too... even though Guillen moved to 1B... whatever. I'm glad you don't like him so now I don't feel so bad calling him a pompous asshole who would bring nothing but bad vibes to D-Town... we've got LOTS of Jeter lovers here for obvious reasons, he went to H.S in Michigan, Kalamazoo actually! No need to feel like an ass! The only reason I know that is because I used to live in NY and get CONSTANTLY hammered by Mets fans telling me how stupid Yankees Management is (and by and large, they're right, but still).

But yeah, call A-Rod an ass, because he *is* one. I even, incidentally, just got confirmation of that very fact from someone who knows.

And YES, Sharing in that Jeter love. You know my Mom's dog's name is Jeter?

I gotta work up to this.

I love my coffee though. And with a little irish cream on the weekends. ohhhh yeah. I should buy some tomorrow.

But being tired sucks.

There's this creepy dude in one of my classes who keeps on saying "Hi" to me more than like 5 times in our hour-and-a-half class, trying to get me to talk to him. And for some reason, my teacher likes pairing me up with him for group work!

I am totally unable to focus today. My books are all open b/c I'll read a few pages, get extremely bored, open another, get extremely bored and then go watch tv. I have spent the entire day watching tv and a total of 20 minutes on my hw. And I know come tomorrow I'll be overwhelmed with everything. Why do I waste so much time? I dunno, I'm gonna go watch more tv.
